Glazed Cornish Hens - How to cook
Hi fam! My Honey-Glazed Cornish Hens are perfect for an intimate holiday dinner.
When I was single, I would make this recipe for my holiday meal. It’s elegant, delicious and simple. It’s also a great choice for couples or a small gathering. It’s hard to mess this up, friends! Follow my tutorial to see exactly how to make these sweet and tender cornish hens.
I like to start this recipe by making the glaze. Simply melt butter and honey together. Add in brown sugar and ground cloves, mix until well combined. Stuff the cornish hens (be sure they’re rinsed with cool water and dried, y’all!) with diced apples. I used a combo of Granny Smith and Red Delicious. Place the hens in a baking dish, and brush them with butter. Cover the dish, and cook for 20 minutes. Now brush the hens with the glaze, leave the dish uncovered and bake for an additional 25 minutes. I like to serve this dish with yams, greens and mac and cheese. Simply delicious!
