How To make Garlic and Cheese Grits
2 c Cold water
1/2 AM Corn Grits
-- (Yellow or White) 1 ts Sea salt (optional)
1/2 lb Sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 tb Butter
1 Egg; beaten, or egg replacer
1/4 ts Cayenne or tabasco
1/4 ts Paprika
1 Garlic clove; crushed OR...
1/4 ts -Garlic powder
In large saucepan mix well; water, grits and salt. Bring to simmer and cook until grits are very thick; remove from heat. Oil 13" x 9" baking dish. Stir together in sauce pan grits and remaining ingredients; pour into prepared dish and spread evenly. Sprinkle top with additional paprika. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 F. Hey y'all!! These are the BEST grits ever!!! Everyone always ask me how I make my grits because they are slap ya mama, ya auntie and your cousin good !! Cheesy, creamy , and thick ! No soupy ass grits allowed where I'm from! Here's what you'll need
1 cup quick grits
4 cups water
1 tablespoon of knorrs seasoning or chicken bouillon
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoon butter
Cheese of choice .. now on this part please use as much cheese as you'd like . I just eyeballed mine . And adjust as needed !

Here's a quick, delicious recipe for Southern Style Cheesy Baked Grits. **Full Recipe in Description**
This recipe always comes out perfectly and makes a great main breakfast dish! It is great as a main dish, with sausage as a side (or you could crumble it up and add it before you bake in the oven). It is also a wonderful side dish for sausage biscuits, fried chicken, meatloaf, and is very easy to prepare.
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 ½ cup (225 g) “5-minute” grits. I prefer the Jim Dandy brand.
6 cups (1,440 ml) water
2 Tablespoons (30 g) butter
2 teaspoons (12 g) salt
¼ teaspoon (125 mg) ground pepper
3 eggs
1 Tablespoon (15 g) baking powder
¼ cup (40 g) all-purpose flour
2 cups (1 bag) (226 g) cheddar cheese, shredded (divided)
Directions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees (160 C).
Step 2: On the stovetop, bring the water and butter to a boil. Whisk in grits, cover and simmer at lowest setting for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Once grits are cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool for about 10 - 15 minutes. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, flour, and baking powder together. Quickly whisk in egg mixture and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Step 4: Spray a baking dish with cooking spray and pour in grits mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove and spread remaining cheddar cheese on top. Bake for additional 5 minutes.

Betty demonstrates how to make her popular Southern Garlic-Cheddar Cheese Grits recipe. These grits look wonderful on the dinner table, and they are sooooo flavorful! Your guests will want to kiss the cook after tasting these!

Kiss My Grits Garlic-Cheddar Cheese Grits
4 cups rapidly-boiling water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick grits
1 stick butter or margarine
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
2 well beaten eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons canned (bottled) minced garlic
Heat 4 cups of water to boiling in a pot over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 cup quick grits. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until grits are done (smooth and thickened). Remove from heat and add 1 stick of butter or margarine, 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese, 2 well-beaten eggs, 1/4 cup milk, and 2 teaspoons of bottled minced garlic. Stir everything together and pour into a oven-proof dish that has been sprayed with cooking oil. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. (In the video, I baked my casserole at 425 degrees for 20 minutes, but I think 400 degrees will be better.) Remove grits casserole from the oven, let stand for 5 minutes, and serve while hot! It's delicious!!!
