How To make Elegant Tea Cookies
1/2 c Butter
1 c Granulated sugar
1 Egg
1 tb Heavy cream
1 ts Vanilla
2 c Flour
1/2 ts Baking powder
Recipe by: Sue Klapper In a bowl, cream butter with sugar until very light. Add well beaten egg, cream and vanilla. In a separate bowl, sift flour with baking powder; add creamed mixture and blendwell. Roll dough into a log and wrap in aluminum foil. Chill in refrigerator overnight, or in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Remove dough from refrigerator, slice very thin and place slices on greased cookie sheets. I Sealed the Flowers~ Edible Flower Oolong Tea Cookies
I sealed flowers in the cookies~~
They are super tasty and great for afternoon tea time♪٩(✿′ᗜ‵ ✿)۶♪
Ingredients
- Salt Pickled Sakura Blossom
- Edible Flowers
- 100g Unsalted Butter
- 50g Granulated Cane Sugar
- 2 Egg Yolks
- 190g Low Gluten Flour
- Tea Leaves (I used Oolong tea, but feel free to pick yours~)ʕᵔᴥᵔ❀ʔ
How to
- Soak the salt pickled sakura blossom in water for 4 hours
- Wash the edible flowers and pat dry, then put a heavy thing on top to make them flatter
- Put the butter on kitchen counter for around 1hour so it will become soft
- Mix sugar and soft butter until they turned into a creamy texture
- Add in egg yolks separately and mix well with the butter/sugar mixture
- Sift in flour to the mixture and mix well until you can't see any white flour
- Grind tea leaves and add into the flour mixture, mix well
- Make the mixture into a square prism and wrapped up, store in freezer for 30 mins
- Preheat the oven to 320f
- Cut the dough into 5-7mm thick slices and press the flowers on top
- Put in the oven and bake for around 10 mins
- Take the cookies out and let them cool down on a baking rack
- Time to enjoy~/ᐠºัᆽºัᐟ
You can make a cup of tea as the same as you used in the cookie and enjoy your afternoon~

Members of the New Russia Cultural Center in Albany, NY are making Russian Tea Cookies to sell them at the Russian food stand during the Festival of Nations in Albany, NY Sunday, October 24th, 2010.
Fancy Tea Biscuits( European Style with Flour, Butter, Sugar & Chocolate)
Tea Biscuits
INGREDIENTS:
350 gr. (0.8 lbs. or approx. 2 cups +1 tbsp.see note 2) all purpose flour
50 gr. (1.8 oz. or approx. 5 tbsp.) powdered sugar
90 gr. (3.2 oz.) unsalted butter
135 gr. (4.6 oz. (US, liquid) or 1/2cup + 1 tbsp.) water
5 ml (1 tsp.) pure vanilla extract
1 ml (1/4 tsp.) salt
5 ml (1 tsp.) baking soda
TOPPING: approx. 50 chocolate pieces
Notes:
1. The recipe yields approx. 48 biscuits (if using a 55 mm or 2-1/4” cutter).
2. I have measured the weight of 2 cups and 1 tbsp. of flour on my scale. I’m using a cup that has a volume of 235 ml. and a measuring tablespoon (tbsp.) with a volume of 15 ml.
