1 Tb. rolled oats (whole or ground up in a coffee grinder)
1 banana (cold or frozen would be best however you can always add some ice to the smoothie instead)

Why make homemade Soy milk yogurt?
Vegan Yogurt manufacturers change the soybeans in the yogurt from organic to non-organic soy. Other yogurt brands and varieties made with coconut and almond yogurt don't seem to taste as good as soymilk yogurt.
The option is homemade soy yogurt. How to Make Vegan Yogurt Without Starter, Awesome Trick 2023.
Vegan homemade yogurt options
You can create your own rich, non dairy milk yogurt at home using any type of vegan milk. The advantage of homemade milk for a yogurt recipe is that you will end up with quality yogurt setting correctly and consistently. Commercial vegan milk doesn't contain enough protein, and its many additives might prevent the yogurt from forming the way it should.
In this recipe, We will make our soy milk, but you can also use store-bought milk like coconut, almond, cashew, soy, or any other nut or vegan milk. If you want a creamy, firm greek yogurt, use milk with lots of fat content, like coconut or cashew, which results in a very rich and thick yogurt. When you prefer a lighter, more fluid yogurt, use lower-density milk like almond or rice milk. Whatever sort of non-dairy milk you pick, check it is additive-free. Or even better, make your own, as we do in this recipe for the best results.
Making yogurt might not be easy as you think. If you don't follow the rules, you end up with a watery gooey mess that doesn't have any resemblance to the creamy vegan yogurt delight you wanted. The first hard, fast rule is to pick the right milk. The soy milk MUST be plain soybeans and water. No additives, thickeners, or else...
That is why we recommend only homemade soy milk. You could also go for brands like Edensoy(Canada), Trader Joe, or Westsoy (USA). Otherwise, go for homemade soymilk. With our method, you will not need a vegan yogurt starter or probiotic capsules.

There is a better (and less expensive) way, even though you can buy your own vegan yogurt cultures or probiotic capsules online if you prefer.
Everyone has personal preferences; however, for the following reasons, we'd prefer not to purchase probiotic powder.
Live cultures ship over long distances. That is environmentally unfriendly.
- It is pricey! A little sachet of cultures or a probiotic capsules bottle can go for over $15+ shipping.

1:08 Unfermented soy
3:43 Conclusion
In this video, we’re going to discuss the myth of soy. I want to fill you in on the truth about soy and what it does to the body.
Soy has been marketed as a health food, but is soy healthy? There are two types of soy:
Fermented Soy:
• Tofu
• Tempe
• Miso
• Soy sauce
Unfermented soy:
• Soy powder
• Veggie patties
• Soy protein isolates
Unfermented soy acts like an estrogen in your body. Typically it’s also GMO. The myth of soy is that it’s a health food. But, unfermented soy can be very damaging to your body.
Baby food, soy milk, soy meat, protein bars, and prepackaged diet foods can actually contain unfermented soy.
Estrogen can affect you at the DNA level. Some side effects of this estrogen from unfermented soy products are:
• Tumors
• Fibroids
• Cysts
• Cancer

Easy Vegan Yogurt
In Madeleine's Intuitive Kitchen today we learn how to make vegan yogurt that is healthy, organic, unprocessed, inexpensive, and delicious! We use one of the 2 easily-available brands of organic, certified GMO-free unsweetened soy milk that are available in the U.S., Westsoy and Edensoy. We just add the yogurt starter (originally a one-time online purchase of Belle-Bella vegan starter) that we save (2 TBSP) and freeze with each batch. A whole quart of organic, top-quality yogurt for only $3.00. Great for adding to Swiss Muesli, or using as a base for desserts and dressings, or in making raita, or just by itself.
Best to have the soy milk at room temperature to start. Most stoves seem to use the same size interior light bulb that makes a nice warm (not too hot) place for the yogurt bacteria to grow nicely - around 110-115 degrees F or so if placed near the bulb at the back of the stove.
We haven't tried this method with other vegan milks, such as coconut, hazelnut,, almond, hemp, oat, rice, etc., so if you do try it with a non-soy vegan milk, please let us know here in the comments below how it turns out. Thanks!
