Since we went down the homemade tofu rabbit hole we've been day dreaming about things to make. Today we're making homemade vegan pate! This one is super simple, we kept all the ingredients easy to source and it really doesn't take long at all. Once you master this you'll be invited to every decadent, super fancy party and occasion with all your sophisticated friends. It goes great on spreads and in sandwiches, or with anything you can think of really. You can change out the flavorings too to make something completely unique. Chestnut Lentil Pâté:
1 lb. whole chestnuts (fresh or packaged)
1/2 cup French lentils, rinsed/drained
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 1/2 cups water (for lentils), plus 3/4 to 1 cup for blending
1/4 cup grapeseed oil
3/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
1/2 whole nutmeg or 1/4 tsp ground

⭐️ This rich and creamy lentil hummus is a perfect last-minute dip, sandwich spread, or topping on bread. It's a 5-minute recipe with canned brown lentils, and the preparation is similar to that of chickpea hummus.
⭐️ Ingredients
2 cans (15 oz each) lentils 3 cups cooked lentils
2 tablespoons water add more for a thinner consistency
3 tablespoons tahini or more to taste
3 tablespoons lemon or more to taste
1 clove garlic or more to taste
½ teaspoon ground cumin or more to taste
½ teaspoon salt or more to taste

Chicken Legs in Lentils - By Mauritian Foodies
Chicken Legs in Lentils recipe
Ingredients
• Cleaned, 10 Chicken Legs
• chopped oignons, 2 tomatoes, 1 tb of ginger garlic paste, 2 chillies, thym, choped coriander leaves, 4-5 curry leaves, 1 tb Saffron powder
• 100 gram lentils
Procedure:
• Add some salt, 1/2 tbs ginger garlic paste, pinch of cumin powder in chicken legs
• Put in pressure cooker, add water to cover the chicken legs and cook for 4-5 mins
• soak lentils for 10-15mins for easy cooking
• Heat 1 tbs of refined oil, add onions, chilies, Curry leaves, Thym leaves, Chopped, cumin seeds, , 1/2 tbs ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, pinch of cumin powder, 1 1/2 tbs saffron powder, little water for cooking in pressure cooker,
• Add the soaked lentils
• Add 2 glasses of water and put lentils to cook for 7-8 mins
• Open after 7-8 mins, halfed cooked lentils
• Add the chicken legs, set aside
• Add salt according to taste, and 1/2 tbs sugar
• Chopped coriander leaves
• Cook in pressure cooker for another 5mins
• Serve hot with plain rice or bread
