How To make Cherry Cobbler Bars
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup butter
at room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon lemon peel :
grated
21 ounces cherry pie filling
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 11 x 7-inch pan. Mix flourr and baking powder. In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar with electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Beat in egg and lemon peel. With mixer on low speed, gradually add flour mixture.Remvoe 2/3 cup dough. With flfoured fingers, pat remaining dough over bottom of prepared pan. Spread cherry pie filling over dough to edges of pan. Roll reserved dough into 1-inch balls. Flatten balls slightly and place evenly over pie filling. Bake 30 minutes, or until top is golden.
Makes 18 bars.
Apple Kuchen variation: Drain 20 ounces of apple pie slices and mix with 1/2 cup golden rasins and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Spread over dough, using spatula to break up apples if needed to cover doght. Roll remaining dough into long ropes and lay diagonally into ropes and lay diagonally over apple slices to create criss-cross effect. Proceed as directed.

Hi friends and welcome to Cooking with Caleb (and Mom). Today we are making something fun and delicious. We are making Cherry Cobbler Bars! This recipe makes 12 servings. Here’s what you need to make them with us.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 tsp Kosher Salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
21 oz. cherry pie filling can
Let’s do it!
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat an 8x11 baking dish with non-stick spray.
2. Cream butter & sugar together, add salt, vanilla and eggs. Mix.
3. Add the flour and mix well.
4. Spread 2/3 of the batter on bottom of baking dish.
5. Cover with cherry filling.
6. Top with small dollops of the remaining batter.
7. Bake for 30 minutes.
8. Cool, then slice and serve.
Delicious on their own, but even better with some vanilla ice cream!

Ingredients:
For the crumble:
1 cup (125g) All-purpose flour
1½ cups (135g) Rolled oats
1/2 cup (100g) Light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon *optional
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup (115g) Butter, softened
For the raspberry filling:
300g (10.5oz) Raspberries, fresh or frozen
1 teaspoon Lemon zest
2 tablespoons (25g) Sugar
2 tablespoons (15g) Cornstarch
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C). Line a 8-inch (20cm) square baking pan with a strip of parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Make the crumble: In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, salt, brown sugar and baking soda. Add the butter and mix until crumbly.
3. Make the filling: in a large bowl mix raspberries, lemon zest, sugar, cornstarch and vanilla extract. Set aside.
4. Press 2/3 of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the baking pan. Spread the filling over the base, Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture.
5. Bake for 35 minutes, until golden brown. Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares.

Make sure to wait until it is completely cooled before cutting to avoid it falling apart!
