How To make Beef Steak with Herb Garnish
2 tb Green onion finely chopped
2 tb Parsley, fresh chopped
2 tb Lemon juice
1 tb Vegetable oil
1 sm Clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 ts Salt
pn Pepper, fresh ground 1 1/4 lb Rib eye or sirloin steak

Protein choices, 1/2 Fats & Oils Choice Make the herb garnish ahead of time to allow flavors to blend. Combine onion, parsley, lemon juice, oil, garlic, salt & pepper in a glass bowl; let stand a room temperature at least 2 hrs. At meal time, broil or saute meat to desired doneness in a heavy frypan lightly brushed with oil. Spoon herb garnish over each serving.

Chef note: oven at 325 F for 15 minutes for medium rare (130 F).
Feelin' saucy? Enhance the flavor of tenderloin steaks with a luscious cream and brandy sauce. Sear the pepper-crusted steaks in a hot skillet. While steaks rest, combine shallots, brandy, green peppercorns and heavy cream. Steak Au Poivre is the perfect recipe for a special occasion celebrated at home.

4 (6-ounce) Certified Angus Beef ® tenderloin filet steaks (filet mignon)
2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt, divided
2 tablespoons peppercorn trio
2 teaspoons canola oil

1 small shallot, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
3 tablespoons brined green peppercorns
1/4 cup cognac or brandy
1 cup salt-free beef stock

It’s a short one today, but nonetheless, very useful technique revealing video. Today we’ll learn how to make a quick 4 minute garnish for our dishes (sweet & savoury) using a highly underestimated tool, that’s available in almost any kitchen. We’ll be making microwave flat fried leafy herbs garnish.
In this specific video, I’m showing this cool technique (created by Chef Heston Blumenthal), using flat parsley, sage and mint as examples.
Most important message from this video is that even small things and easy techniques can elevate your dish, and you don’t need to own most expensive equipment or use complicated and time-consuming techniques to cook like Michelin Star Chefs.
