Season the cavity of each trout with salt and pepper. Stuff each trout with the bread mixture, dividing it evenly among the fish. If necessary, secure the openings with wooden toothpicks.
Wrap 2 bacon slices around each stuffed trout. Arrange in a baking dish, in one layer. Bake until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork and the bacon is crisp, 35-40 minutes. Serve garnished with celery leaves or sprigs of parsley.

Easy Whole Rainbow Trout Recipe
Intimidated by a whole rainbow trout? Don't be! They are easy to work with and absolutely delicious!
All you need is:
Olive oil
Salt & pepper
Fresh herbs (we used parsley and dill)
Lemons
1) Begin by laying the trout on some tin foil - we used two layers of tin foil to ensure the heat would not escape.
2) Put olive oil, salt, and pepper all over the fish (inside and out). Stuff the fish with whatever fresh herbs you have on hand - chives, spinach, or thyme would also be an excellent choice.
3) Place lemon slices inside the fish and close it up.
4) Place tinfoil on top of the fish and seal all ends. We want the fish to steam inside the foil packet.
5) Bake at 400 until the fish flakes easily (checking often). For us, it took roughly 25 minutes.
6) Once the fish is done, remove it from the tin foil and either serve it whole or fillet!
**To fillet, gently cut into the flesh near the fish's head and tail. There is a line that runs along the fish's body, using a butter knife and spoon, gently cut following this line. This will separate the first fillet away from the bones. Push the second fillet off of the bones and scrape away any tiny bones that may be stuck to it. Once finished, find the end of the bone (at the base of the tail) and pull it up away from the fish. This bone should easily separate from the fish in one swift movement. Clean the bottom fillet of any tiny bones and your trout is ready to serve! We served it with fresh lemons, green beans, and zucchini!

White trout is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and protein. Most fishes contain high amounts of omega-3 but one thing that puts right on top is (beside the extra amount of it) is being low in mercury.
Trout contains very less amounts of mercury comparing to other high source of omega 3 sources such as tuna. Mercury is highly toxic and can be poisoning and studies have shown that even a tiny amount of it can be damaging to infants and pregnant women.
Omega 3 Fatty acids has a strong anti inflammatory components. It can also decrease the bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase the good cholesterol (HDL). Omega 3 has always been considered... Read More

Nonna making Rainbow Trout!
Healthy, Easy, Very Delicious, Baked Trout - 5 Star Family Recipe
On today's episode of Thundermist Fishing Tips, we're going to share with you some cooking recipes with you. In particular, I'd like to share with you a trout recipe that is both quick, easy, and is absolutely delicious!
For this recipe you will need the following ingredients:
- 6 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1/2 tablespoon of old bay seasoning
- 1/2 of paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
- 1/2 tablespoon of pepper
- The juice from one fresh lemon
- Two cloves of garlic, finely minced
The first step is to start to preheat the oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit.
While the oven is preheating, take all the above ingredients and whisk them together into a small bowl.
Place your trout in a nice baking dish, such as a glass/pyrex baking dish. I like to add a layer of parchment to the bottom of the tray, though this is not needed and is only for preference.
Once this marinade is nice and mixed, you'll want to coat your entire trout fillet with this mix. Please be generous! The more the better. You'll really want this mix to sink and soak into the fillet. For a little added flare, I like to sprinkle on some additional paprika for added colour.
Also, for this trout recipe, I prefer to leave the skin on,
After the trout is nice and covered in the marinade, you'll want to bake it in the oven for 15 to 16 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet.
The last step, is to of course, enjoy!
