Christmas Countdown Day 4!! FUDGE made by the king of fudge ☺️ #homesteadinglife #appalachia
#FilmoraGo
this is our favorite fudge that we make every Christmas and we use the basic fantasy fudge recipe but Willis changed it where he only boils it down for 4 minutes instead of 5:00 so I hope you'll enjoy this recipe and make it super easy.
RECIPE
have a 9x13 baking dish greased with butter ready
1 and 1/2 sticks of butter or margarine
3 c sugar
5 oz evaporated milk
1 (12 oz) bag of chocolate chips you could use any flavor of chips that you want you can use the white chocolate chips or peanut butter chocolate chips or whatever I think they've got mint chocolate chips whatever your choice at this point
1 jar of marshmallow cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts of your choice adding nuts is optional
(we usually like to add nuts we do have some in our family that are allergic to tree nuts so we make their fudge separately
they still got to have their fudge ☺️)
in a heavy duty saucepan you want to add the butter the evaporated milk and the sugar and you want to bring that to a rolling boil on medium high heat and when it comes to the rolling boil that you cannot stir down you want to stir it constantly for 4 minutes.
after 4 minutes remove pan from heat quickly add in your chips your nuts your marshmallow cream and your vanilla stirring until it is nicely mixed and no white streaks are in it from the marshmallow cream and you'll feel it come together it start to firm up.
in the prepared baking dish for your entire contents of the fudge and level it down in your dish and let it cool for approximately 2 to 3 hours. you won't want to cut it while it's warm because it doesn't cut well it gets really sticky but it makes quite a lot and it is a real treat at Christmas!
ENJOY
