How to Grill Any Vegetable on Griddle Pan or BBQ!
Cooking vegetables on the BBQ or griddle pan doesn’t have to be difficult, and the results can be absolutely delicious! With a little bit of know-how, you can prepare a wide range of veggies, from eggplant to mushrooms, potatoes, and carrots, and make them all taste amazing.
One key tip to keep in mind is that some vegetables, like potatoes and carrots, take longer to cook than others, so you’ll want to give them a head start. You can do this by boiling them for a few minutes before grilling or searing them on the BBQ or griddle pan.
Once your veggies are prepped and ready to go, it’s time to start cooking! The key here is to aim for a nice, even char on each vegetable. This will give them a delicious smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the natural sweetness of the veggies.
Drizzling your cooked veggies with a dressing or sauce takes them to a whole new level. This can be something as simple as a little bit of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, or you could get more creative with a homemade pesto or even aioli.
Now, it’s important to note that your furry friend may not appreciate the meatless delicious smells wafting from your BBQ or griddle pan, but your guests certainly will! So next time you’re looking for a tasty and healthy side dish to serve at your next cookout, consider cooking up some delicious grilled veggies.

Grilled Fruit Skewers | Grilled Summer Fruit Kabobs Recipe | How To Make Grilled Fruit Skewers
Kabobs are one of the most popular grilling items, especially chicken kabobs or shrimp skewers. But have you ever tried fruit kabobs? They are life-changing! Trust me, if you’ve never tried them…you must make them now! This grilled version is a favorite, as well as my easy rainbow fruit kabobs.
When you grill fruit, the natural sugars in the fruit caramelize over the heat and bring out the sweet flavor of the fruit! I find that in the summer, the most popular dessert tends to be fresh fruits. So when I’m invited to a barbecue, I love taking skewered fruit on a wooden stick. When everyone is done with grilling the main meal, I slap some skewers on the grill for the sweet taste of grilled fruit to cap off the meal.
Most people are skeptical. Why would you grill fruit?! It sounds weird, right? But once you try it, you’ll realize it’s actually a sweet and healthy dessert that actually tastes great! And the great part is that it only takes a couple minutes on the grill and you’re donezo! Serve it with some yogurt or a scoop of ice cream, and all that skepticism from your grilling audience will vanish. I promise.
Barbecuing gets a bad rap sometimes as being the domain of fatty meats and high-calorie sauces, but the truth of the matter is that smoking and grilling don't add fat to a dish, only flavor. With the right ingredients the outdoor cooker can be the focus of cooking for a healthy diet.
These grilled fruit skewers, with their spicy flair, make eating fruit exciting. It's a versatile dessert or side dish recipe that can be made with any number of fruit combinations. Pair it with grilled chicken and enjoy a guilt-free meal.
Fresh and delicious grilled fruit kabobs topped with a cinnamon honey glaze. The perfect healthy side dish or appetizer for any meal that will be a hit with the entire family!
If you’re looking for an easy side dish to serve at your next BBQ or simply a yummy summer snack, I’ve got you covered with these grilled fruit kabobs. The best thing about them is that you can use whatever fruit you have on hand. Pineapple, watermelon, and peaches tend to hold their shape the best, but any fruit would taste delicious. The cinnamon honey glaze is what really takes the grilled fruit over the top! It adds the perfect amount of sweetness.

Pineapple Pork Kebabs | Pork Shish Kabob Recipe

Pineapple is one fruit that goes great with pork, and I have an easy recipe that makes for another great football party food.
I call this grilled recipe my Pineapple Pork Kebabs with Sweet & Sour BBQ Sauce. All you need is a 4-5lb pork loin and a couple fresh pineapples. You’ll need to rinse and dry the pork loin; then give it a quick trim. Remove any silver skin or fat cap, also take off the chain meat on the side. Split the loin in half, length wise, and cut each half into 1” pieces.
Cut the fresh pineapple into quarters and slice into cubes about the same size as the pork loin chunks. To make your kabobs, start with the pineapple, alternate placing a chunk of each onto the skewer. There should be enough for about 8 Kebabs in this recipe. Season both sides of the Kebabs with Killer Hogs The BBQ Rub or your favorite dry rub.
To cook the Kebabs you’ll need a medium hot fire running about 300⁰ with a chunk or two of hickory wood for a little smoke.
Once the grill is up to temp, place the Kebabs on the grate and cook each side for about 30 minutes. Keep an eye on them and turn if necessary if you’re using a different type grill.
While the Kebabs are cooking make the Sweet and Sour BBQ Sauce.
Sweet and Sour BBQ Sauce:
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup rice vinegar
- ½ cup pineapple juice
- 2 Tablespoons Killer Hogs The BBQ Sauce.
- 2 Tablespoons ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoon cold water
In a small saucepan over medium high heat, mix the sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice, BBQ sauce, & ketchup. In a separate bowl whisk the cornstarch and cold water together. Add to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
During the last few minutes of cooking baste the Kebabs on each side with the Sweet & Sour sauce. It needs to cook for just a few minutes on each side to set the glaze.
Once the internal temperature of the pork loin hits 145 these Kebabs are done. Remove them from the grill and serve on a large platter with the remaining Sweet & Sour BBQ Sauce.
