Maple Rice Crispie Treats!
5 cups of rice crispies cereal
¾ cups of Amber Rich maple syrup
3 cups marshmallow
3 tbsp. of room temperature butter
Maple sugar
Directions:
1. Pour maple syrup and butter into a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Bring the maple syrup to a boil, mixing occasionally.
2. Bring down to low heat and pour in the marshmallows. Once the marshmallows are in the pot, bring the heat up to medium-low heat.
3. Stir until all of the marshmallows have melted completely. Then, pour in the Rice Crispies. Stir until all of the Rice Crispies have been coated with the marshmallow mixture. Make sure to get all of the marshmallow mixture from the bottom of the pot. That can change the outcome of your Rice Crispies treats.
4. Pour the mixture into an 8x8 pan. Spray your hands with cooking spray and press the Rice Crispies down into the pan.
5. Sprinkle maple sugar on the top for a more intense maple flavor.
6. Wait for the Rice Crispies to fully cool or put them into the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes. Cut and enjoy!

1.Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices in a mixing bowl.
2.Cream the butter and sugar together in a separate dish until light and fluffy. Stir in the egg, then the maple syrup, being sure to whisk thoroughly after each addition.
3.In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, spices, and fresh ginger. When the dough begins to come together, turn it out onto a lightly floured board and knead it with your hands until it is smooth and free of lumps.
4.Refrigerate for 1 hour after wrapping with cling film.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius fan bake or 180 degrees Celsius bake.
5.Grease a baking sheet and line it with greaseproof paper.
6.Roll the dough 5mm thick on a lightly floured worktop. Place the dough on the parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for another 10 minutes.
7.Remove the sheet from the refrigerator and cut shapes out of the dough with your cookie cutter. Remove the excess and roll it into a ball, which you can rewrap and keep in the fridge .
8.Bake for 6-8 minutes, then remove the pan from the oven and lightly tap it on the counter to flatten the cookies.
9.Return them to the oven for another 6-8 minutes, then remove them from the baking pan and cool on a wire rack.
