How To make Crisp Salmon In Rice Paper with Asian Au Jus
4 salmon steaks
(5 ounces each)
1/2 bunch cilantro :
chopped fine
4 rice papers as needed
2 tablespoons ginger
1 teaspoon garlic
3 teaspoons sesame oil
2 cups soy sauce
4 cups julienne vegetables
6 ounces sake wine
2 lemon grass :
(white part only)
4 star anise
Season each fish with cilantro, 1/2 teaspoon each. Dip rice paper, one at a time, in hot water. Place seasoned salmon in middle. Roll and seal packet. Add 3 teaspoons sesame oil to saute pan. When hot, sear salmon. Turn when brown. Bake in 400~ oven for 6-8 minutes. In a small pot, add 2 cups soy sauce, 6 ounces sake, lemon grass, star anise, 2 teaspoons cilantro, garlic, and ginger. Bring to boil. Add vegetables and serve. Garnish with fried vermicelli noodles.

Oven Honey Garlic Salmon | BROILED OR BAKED SALMON
This Honey garlic Salmon dish can be BAKED at high temperature or BROILED.
If you don't have broiler setting,
I don't recommend baking the salmon for a LONG time. BAKE the salmon 450F for about 12 - 15 minutes depending on thickness and on the highest shelf in the oven.
For Broiler, I suggest cooking temperature 475F then 500F. You want to cook the salmon between 9 - 12 minutes TOTAL to avoid overcooking. Let it sit for at least a minute before serving.

INGREDIENTS IN VIDEO:
1 whole Salmon filet (2 1/2 lbs) rinsed with cool water and lemon juice then gently pat dried with paper towels
Olive oil
Mixed seasonings:
1/2 - 1 tsp ginger powder
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 - 3/4 tbsp Seasoned Salt
1/2 tbsp onion powder
freshly ground pepper
Sauce:
4 tbsps butter
7 garlic cloves, finely minced
1/2 - 3/4 cup honey
2 tsps brown sugar
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
3 tbsps Soy Sauce

Rice Paper Burekas Makes :15
What you need:
Rice paper
Olive oil
Sesame seeds
Filling
Cheese filling :
100 g hemed cheese ( or 50 cream cheese 50 feta)
250 g 5% cottage cheese (if there's sweetened in the states then unsweetened) 150 g mozzarella ( you can mix in another melting cheese if you like)
1 egg
1 tsp cornstarch
Salt
Or potato filling ( veagn)
2-3 medium potatoes peeled boiled and mashed 2 tbsp of olive oil
Salt
Assembly;
1. Mix together all filling ingredients ( potato or cheese)
2. Fill a frying pan or large round dish with water
3. Wet rice paper
4. Place the rice paper on a Plate
5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center
6. Brush with olive oil ( be Generous)
7. Fold Into parcels
8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top
9. Bake or fry until golden ( I think an air fryer will work) baking takes 20-25 min at 200°c in
my oven.
10. Serve warm or cold!

Pork Paste:
Blend shrimp with sugar, fish sauce and a chicken bouillon cube. Mix with the pork paste.
Wet rice paper, paint on a cornstarch/water mix, add a thin layer of the mix and fry in oil. Serve with fish sauce.

Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls Easy Video Recipe
Home made Vietnamese Rice Paper Rolls.
Video Cooking Demonstration an d Recipe. Here we show it being prepared two ways, freshly made and chilled or shallow fried and served hot. Either way you are guaranteed to want to make and eat these again.Get the kids involved to customise fillings to suit.Makes a great teenage party idea too.
Fresh, Fast, Filling and Fantastic.
INGREDIENTS:
Rice Paper Roll Wrappers
lean sliced ham,
cooked shelled prawns
shredded carrot
roast chicken
bean sprouts
celery
spring onions
smoked salmon
capsicum or bell peppers
vermicelli noodles also known as glass noodles
Oil for frying if serving fried. I have shallow fried these for demonstration purposes however deep frying is a better method for ensuring a crisp, golden all over coating.
Try and use the freshest seasonal ingredients, don't be intimidated by the list of ingredients here. You only need a small amount of filling for each roll. I have included a large array of possibilities to assist you making choices for your own Vietnamese Rolls. Just try and ensure you have a good variety of colour, flavours and textures.
These are best eaten with various dipping sauces, soy, chilli and vietnamese dipping sauce are popular options.
Give them a go They can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge, perfect for that bring a plate party or clean fancy finger food by the pool.
