Our friend Desi recently brought us back a bag of grits from South Carolina. Now, confession time. I have very minimal experience eating grits, and I have zero experience making them. So, I was a little intimidated by this. BUT, they were super easy and they turned out SO good! I will absolutely be ordering more of these and trying different recipes and toppings. Easy Cheesy Loaded Grits Casserole
This is a very easy and delicious casserole to make. It is full of flavor and the cheese crusted on the top is just phenomenal. I hope you enjoy this recipe.
1 lb breakfast Sausage
1 med onion chopped
4 cups water
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup quick grits
3 4oz cans chipped green chiles
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups mozzarella or jack cheese
2 Tbls butter
several dashes hot sauce
2 lg eggs beaten
paprika
Bake 325° cook sausage and onions
In a lg sauce pan bring water and salt to a boil add in grits and stir. Cover and cook on medium for 5 minutes stirring often. Allow to cool slightly. add in butter, chiles,, and 1/2 of the cheeses. Add in sausage mixture. poor into greased 9x13 baking dish. add remaining cheese to top and sprinkle with paprika and bake for 1 hour.

1 cup Grits
3 cups Chicken Broth
1 cup Water
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese (optional)
1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded
4 tbsp Butter (8 optional)
1 tsp Creole Seasoning (SweetSmokieJoe.com, Creole Kick)
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Best served warm, enjoy!

How to make the BEST cheese grits !
Hey y'all!! These are the BEST grits ever!!! Everyone always ask me how I make my grits because they are slap ya mama, ya auntie and your cousin good !! Cheesy, creamy , and thick ! No soupy ass grits allowed where I'm from! Here's what you'll need
1 cup quick grits
4 cups water
1 tablespoon of knorrs seasoning or chicken bouillon
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoon butter
Cheese of choice .. now on this part please use as much cheese as you'd like . I just eyeballed mine . And adjust as needed !
