How To make Crescent Cookies
1/2 c Butter
1/4 c Sugar
1/4 ts Salt
1 tb Extract, vanilla
1 c Flour
1/4 c Nuts -- ground
Sugar, powdered
Cream together butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla, then add flour and ground nuts. Chill overnight. Preheat oven to 350. Form dough by teaspoons into half moon shapes. Pecan Crescent Cookies
Delicious melt in your mouth pecan cookies.
Ingredients:
2 sticks of butter, softened (1 cup)
2 cups of flour
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1/8 tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/4 tsp of almond extract
1 cup of ground pecans
2 cups of powdered sugar for dredging
Mix butter until creamy. Add all other ingredients until well combined. Put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or more. After the dough has chilled put a tablespoon and a half of the dough into a crescent shape and bake at 375f for 12 to 15 minutes.
When cool enough to handle dredge the cookies in powdered sugar. Let cool completely and then dredge them again in more powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
2 sticks unsalted butter softened (8 ounces) (225 grams)
1/3 cup sugar (70 grams)
2 cups hazelnuts(10 ounces) (280 grams)
2 cups all purpose flour (10 ounces)(280 grams)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup confectioners sugar for coating
Directions:
Step#1- Roast the hazelnuts in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius)until lightly golden. Remove and wrap in a kitchen towel. Rub so the skin peels off easily. In a food processor grind hazelnuts for about 15 seconds. Set aside.
Step#2- In a large bowl combine butter, sugar and vanilla. Using a hand held mixer cream until light and fluffy. Lower the speed, add flour and salt. Now the hazelnuts. Finish combining with a spatula. Step#3- Now you’ll have a soft dough. If the dough is very soft let it set in the fridge for 10 to 20 minutes.
Step#4- Using a tablespoon ice cream scooper roll a ball. Finish rolling between your palm as if you were rolling meatballs. Then move your hands front to back and if creating a roll. Now fold the tips forward creating a crescent.
Step#5- Bake on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper on 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) for 15 to 18 minutes until lightly golden.
Step#6- Let them cool but not completely.
Step#7- Roll in powder sugar and enjoy!!
