Spritz Cookies 101 Easy
The first of two videos on easy spritz cookies
Chocolate-Dipped Orange Spritz- with yoyomax12
My second channel for unboxings, product reviews and travel vlogs:
3/4 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp orange juice
4 tsp grated orange peel
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup ground nuts (I used pecans)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening
Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg, orange juice and orange peel.
In another bowl whisk together flour, salt and baking powder.
Combine flour mixture with the creamed mixture.
Stir until you have a soft dough.
Press long strips of dough with the cookie press onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Cut dough strips into cookie portions.
Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes until set and bottoms are just a tiny bit light brown, they will not change colour very much.
Remove from oven and immediately re-cut the cookies while they are still hot.
Allow cookies to cool completely.
Place chocolate and shortening into a bowl and microwave until chocolate chips and shortening are melted. Stir until smooth.
Dip one end of cookie into melted chocolate, allow excess to drip off and place on waxed paper or a silicone mat. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and allow to harden.
