Thai Peanut Salad Dressing Recipe Salad Kaeg สลัดแขก
This salad is a specialty of Muslim Thai cuisine. With the spicy and rich peanut dressing, it's one of my favourite ways to eat veggies! The dressing will keep for at least a week in the fridge, and it will also double as a dipping sauce for meats or tofu.

Thai Salad Dressing For ALL Your Seafood AND Salad NEEDS! Nam Yum น้ำยำ
Welcome to another video, today we'll be looking at Nam Yum น้ำยำ salad dressing. You can use this as a dressing for your favourite Thai salads or use it as a dipping sauce for seafood and meats. This is bursting with umami, spicy, sour, salty and a touch of sweetness.
Enjoy.
Here's the recipe:
Handful of garlic
50g Coriander root
100g Coriander leaves
4 tbsp fish sauce (although we used an extra one after tasting) Squid brand is best
4 limes (although we used an extra one after tasting)
1 Tbsp White vinegar
2 Tbsp Palm sugar
1 Tbsp White sugar
4/5 Green Birds eye chilli
20 Red birds eye chilli
As with all Asian cooking this is a rough guide with regards to amounts, adjust for your own taste and spice tolerance.
If you want to make it spicier then toast birds eye chillies instead of large sweet chilli.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.
