How To make Super Sweet & Sour Tempeh
TEMPEH:
1/2 c Water
2 ts Salt
1/2 ts Coriander, ground
1 Garlic clove, minced
1 pk Tempeh, cubed
1/4 c Cornstarch
Oil for deep frying Sweet & Sour Sauce:
1 tb Oil
1 Onion, chopped
1 1/4 c Water
2 1/2 tb Honey
4 ts Soy sauce
1 tb White vinegar
1 tb Tahini
1/2 ts Grated ginger
1 Green onion, sliced
2 tb Cornstarch
Mix water*, salt (reduce if you want), coriander & garlic in a bowl. Dip tempeh chunks into bowl & then coat with cornstarch. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on paper towels & set aside. SAUCE: Heat oil in skillet & saute onion for 4 to 5 minutes. Add water, honey, soy sauce, vinegar, tahini, ginger & green onion. Bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in 2 tb water & stir into sauce. Stir till thickened. Place tempeh chunks into the sauce & cook briefly over low heat till heated through. Serve over rice or pasta. Great hot or cold. * I usually save the mixture that I've used to dip the tempeh chunks & add enough water to make up to 1/2 cup. Adapted from Frances Moore Lappe, "Diet for a Small Planet".

咕嚕天貝 Sweet and Sour Tempeh - SmartCook 煮見 x HK Saladmaster 煮好餸
咕嚕天貝(純素)
材料:
1. 天貝 1/2包
2. 紅彩椒 半個
3. 青椒 半個
4. 洋蔥 半個
5. 罐頭菠蘿 兩片
調味料:
1. 茄汁 兩湯匙
2. 白醋 一湯匙
3. 糖 一湯匙
4. 豉油 一湯匙
5. 水 適量
6. 生粉 適量
做法:
1. 將所有食材切小塊
2. 混合所有調味料,拌勻成醬汁
3. 冷鑊下油燒熱,冒煙後轉小火,天貝煎至金黃,盛起備用
4. 冷鑊下油燒熱,冒煙後轉小火,炒香紅彩椒,青椒,洋蔥及菠蘿,放回天貝至鑊中
5. 加入醬汁煮至收汁,即成。
Sweet and Sour Tempeh (Vegan-friendly)
Ingredients:
1. Tempeh 1pack
2. Red Bell Pepper ½ pc
3. Green Bell Pepper ½ pc
4. Onion ½ pc
5. Canned Pineapple 2 slices
Seasonings:
1. Ketchup 2tbsps
2. White Vinegar 1 tbsps
3. Sugar 1 tbsp
4. Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
5. Water
6. Corn Starch
Method:
1. Cut all the ingredients into pieces
2. Mix all the seasonings to be the sauce
3. Heat the oil in pan, turn to low heat when oil start to smoke Pan-fry the Tempeh until golden, set aside
4. Heat the oil in pan, turn to low heat when oil start to smoke, sauté the Bell Peppers, Onion and Pineapple for awhile, then add in Tempeh
5. Add in the sauce and cook until the sauce is thickened, serve.

Healthy & Delicious: Sweet and Sour Tempeh
Tempe Orek, Sweet and Sour Tempeh, the Signature Dish of Tempeh.
You are about to taste the Indonesian most well-known signature dish of tempeh: Tempe Orek or Sweet Sour Tempeh. Be prepared!
Ingredients:
300 gr Tempeh
4 pcs Bay Leaves
2 cuts Lemon Grass, the size of your finger
4 pcs Candlenuts (in the video I incorrectly referred to as Nutmegs, my apology!)
3 cloves Garlic
2 ea Shallots
2 pcs Kfir Lime Leaves
5 ea big Red Chili Peppers
2 tbsp chopped Small Chili Pepper, add more if you love spicy dishes
Tamarind, the size of your thumb, soak in 30 ccs of warm water
30 gr Brown Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt, or to taste
1 tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce

An easy and quick meal including sticky, tender and delicious Vegan Sweet and Spicy Tempeh marinated with an amazing sauce and cooked with veggies. This vegan tempeh is full of flavour, has a bit of a kick, and is sweet and sticky from the soy sauce. If you're new to vegan tempeh, this is an awesome way to eat it. This is super crunchy and is worth every step of the recipe. Yum.

Marination:
280 Grams Tempeh
¼ cup Corn Flour
1 Teaspoon Soya Sauce
½ Teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
Salt to Taste
Sauce:
2 Tablespoons Soya Sauce
½ Teaspoon Balsamic Vinegar
Salt to taste
1 Cup Bell Pepper
2 Teaspoons Green Chilli Sauce
2 Tablespoons Tomato Sauce
1 ½ Tablespoons Corn Flour
4 Cloves Chopped Garlic
1 Small Onion Slices (Or ¼ Cup)
1 Teaspoon Chopped Ginger
3 Tablespoons Chopped Spring Onions
1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
1 Tablespoon Oil
