Curry-spiced vegan lentil burger recipe
These burgers come out thick and hearty, with tons of flavor and nutrition to make a fantastic meal, maybe topped with some fresh alfalfa sprouts.

Lentils are a very fast-cooking legume, and are high in folic acid, iron, protein and fiber, and low in fat.
When I first started making veggie burgers, I struggled to get a good texture but also have the flavor come through so that it wasn't really bean-y.
I played with a lot of recipes before coming up with my own version, using carrots and lots of spices to lighten up the lentils.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup lentils (dry measure)
3 carrots, grated
1 small onion, diced
3/4 cup whole grain flour (approx)
1 tsp cumin*
1 tsp coriander*
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper*
1 tsp sea salt (approx)
pinch black pepper
*or 1 Tbsp curry powder

AMAZING Veggie Burger Recipe - Whole Food Plant Based Burgers!
Burgers are the one food I cannot do without. I need me a burger! This one is made with lentils and is vegan and whole food plant based. Very healthy, low fat, etc. Comes together quickly and works great on a bun or however you eat burgers.
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Oats
1/2 Cup Lentils, dry:
1/2 Cup Chickpea Flour:
1/2 Cup Breadcrumbs:
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder:
1 Tablespoon Onion Powder:
Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Paprika:
2 Tablespoons Tamari:
1/2 Cup Water
1 Tablespoon Liquid Smoke:
Toppings of your choice
Heinz Simply Ketchup:
