How To make Ruby Punch Bowl
1 1/2 c Water
2 c Sugar (or less, to taste)
2 3-4 inch sticks cinnamon
2 ts Whole cloves
1/8 ts Salt
2 Bottles (750 ml) burgundy
Or other red table wine 2 c Chilled cranberry cocktail
1 l Chilled apple cider
Ice Thin lemon or lime slices In saucepan bring water, sugar, spices and salt to boil. Lower heat and simmer 10 minutes; strain-out and discard spices; cool syrup. Combine spiced syrup with wine, cranberry juice cocktail and cider. Pour into punch bowl, add ice and lemon slices. Source: Calgary Herald Dec 15/93 From the collection of K. Deck

USS Richmond Punch - Better Cocktails at Home
Here is an amazing, rich punch from the civil war days. (Note: I say 1/4oz of sugar in the video when I meant 1/4 cup.) Thanks goes to David Wondrich for including this in his book, Punch.

1860s
4oz jamaican rum
4oz cognac
4oz black tea
4oz ruby port
2.25oz lemon juice
1oz curaçao
.25 cup sugar
club soda
Patio Punch Recipe | Perrier x Renaissance Hotels

Celebrate with bubbly - Perrier, that is - with this show-stopping punch recipe fit for holiday festivities. Cranberry ice cubes add seasonal charm.
RECIPE
Serves 10-12
* 1 cup of diced pineapple
* 2 cups of frozen cranberries, divided
* 32 oz. pineapple juice
* 24 oz. cranberry juice
* 16 oz. ruby red grapefruit juice
* 12 oz. rum
* 12 oz. Perrier Lime
* Cinnamon sticks
In a punch bowl with ice, combine 1 cup of frozen cranberries and pineapple. Stir in pineapple juice, cranberry juice, ruby red grapefruit juice, and rum. Top with Perrier Lime. To serve, slice reserved frozen cranberries in half and use alongside ice cubes in each glass. Garnish with cinnamon sticks.

PUNCH UP YOUR COCKTAIL AND MAKE A CHOCOLATE PUNCH!
The Chocolate Punch is actually a very old cocktail dating back to around 1891. But it's roots are linked to Flips that were drank sometime in the 1600s! But back then Flips had a different meaning than they do today. This more contemporary take on the Chocolate Punch is great to make if you are having guests over. Could probably even be made in a punch bowl. Some say it's the ultimate dessert drink.
