Make Mornings DELICIOUS With This French Toast Recipe ????
Want to know how you can spice up your breakfast?
Try this french toast recipe!
It's super simple, quick, and a guaranteed hit for the whole family!
-----------------------------------------
Epic French Toast
Ingredients:
2/3 cup half-and-half
1 large egg
4 slices Trader Joe’s cinnamon swirl bread (or other bread, preferably slightly stale and sliced fairly thick)
Optional add-ins: ½ teaspoon vanilla extract; pinch of cinnamon
For serving: pure maple syrup, whipped cream, or fruit
Instructions:
Melt a pat of butter on a griddle over medium heat.
Pour the half-and-half and egg in a pie plate or shallow bowl; whisk to combine. Add vanilla and cinnamon if using, and whisk again. Dip one slice of bread in the egg mixture and let it soak for a few seconds; then flip and soak the other side.
Pick up the soaked bread and let any excess liquid or egg drain off. Place the soaked bread on the hot griddle and cook until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Flip, and cook the other side until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
Serve, warm, with maple syrup or whipped cream and fruit. This French Toast is also good with nothing, as the cinnamon and sugar give it plenty of flavor!
Make-ahead tip #1: The custard (half-and-half, egg and vanilla) can be whisked together the night before and stored in the refrigerator. Similarly, if you only make 1 or 2 slices of French Toast and have left over custard, the custard can be stored in the refrigerator and used again the next day.
Make-ahead tip #2: This French Toast can be made the night before, cooled and refrigerated, and then reheated in the microwave and served the next morning.
Making Princess Diana's FAVORITE Dessert Keto!
We made Princess Diana's favorite Bread and Butter Pudding Keto-Friendly (This is dirty keto but you could try subbing out the bread with an egg white-based PSMF bread)
Original recipe:
Our recipe:
12 slices 2 net carb Sola Bread (any keto bread should work)
5 ounces allulose (add 2 more ounces if you like things on the sweeter side)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (add in 1 tablespoon of almond extract if you want!)
4 ounces butter
9 egg yolks
12 ounces heavy cream
5 ounces almond milk
sliced almonds
berries/whipped cream
We used cranberries in this recipe but honestly didn't think they were necessary.
Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Butter bread and trim off the crusts
Cut 3 slices of bread into cubes
Butter your baking dish
Line the baking dish with the cubes of bread
Simmer your cream/almond milk/extracts to around 185 degrees F
Add 5 oz allulose to the egg yolks and whisk until combined
Temper your eggs with the cream by adding it slowly and whisking it
Slice the rest of your buttered bread into triangles and arrange them in the dish
Pour over your yolk/cream/allulose mixture into the dish with the bread
Let sit for around 20 minutes until absorbed
We baked ours for an hour at 350 in a water bath. (Your time may vary, it should not be runny when you take it out!)
After its done, sprinkle the top with 1 oz of allulose and stick it under the broiler until melted
Serve with whipped cream and berries.

Have you ever heard of French Toast Rolls? Inspo @may.kawaiikitchen #cookwithme #easyrecipe
We’ve had the Always Pan for over two years now and it cooks everything in a jiffy. This pan heats incredibly fast and it has a nonstick ceramic coating. I love that it’s nontoxic and so beautiful.
Here’s the recipe for these French Toast Rolls:
1) Cut off the crust of your toast and roll until flatten
2) Spread a mixture of butter, cinnamon and sugar on your toast
3) Roll your toast
4) Whisk ⅔ cup milk, an egg, 1 tsp vanilla and dip your rolls
5) Heat butter on your Always Pan and pan fry your rolls
6) Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar, drizzle syrup and serve with some strawberries and chocolate sauce for extra decadence
