Trainer's Kitchen Vitamix Demo
This is my demo of how to make a veggie and fruit smoothie with the vitamix.
2018 Update: I shot this video so many years ago. This kind of food is NOT for everyone. Remember that plants have anti-nutrients too. If your genetics or gut biome is a bad match for green smoothies, they may slowly (or quickly) decrease your health.
Whisky masterclasses and Scottish 'tapas aff' unveiled for Burns Night at Glasgow's The Gate
A Gallowgate pub will be offering whisky masterclasses and Scottish 'tapas aff' in celebration of Burns Night.
The Gate is collaborating with Glasgow pop-up kitchen 'That's Yer Dinner' to serve up small yet delicious Scottish dishes.
The popup chefs who have previously served food to the likes of David Beckham, will completely take over The Gate's kitchen to provide a locally-sourced Scottish menu to celebrate our national bard.
The culinary brothers of That's Yer Dinner - Grant and Gordon Reekie - have a mission to reinvigorate Scottish food and are looking into the past for inspiration on their dishes.
Kedgeree Scotch eggs with vinegar peas, locally caught Scottish crab, celeriac and apple on wholemeal bread, served with a mug of partan bree (Scottish crab soup), and sugar-sweet Barras-inspired doughnuts are all on the menu.
During the Tapas Aff takeover, guests can also enjoy delectable Dewar's Scotch and Aberfeldy single malt hot toddies, highballs and whisky sours from The Gate, alongside fun masterclasses on our national spirit.
Alasdair Shaw, manager of The Gate said: That's Yer Dinner has created a brilliant reputation for delivering modern innovative Scottish dishes with a big emphasis on quality produce, so for us it was the perfect fit to celebrate Burns night.
The takeover will take place from Wednesday 22 all the way through to Friday 24 from 4pm-10pm each evening. As tables are limited The Gate is urging people to make reservations during the pop-up.
