HOMEMADE FRENCH ONION DIP RECIPE INGREDIENTS
3 medium onions, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 large clove of garlic, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar
8 oz cream cheese, softened
8 oz sour cream
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Potato chips and/or assorted vegetables for dipping
Peel and slice three medium onions. In a cast iron skillet or saute pan, heat one tablespoon of olive oil and one tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the onions and stir until they are well coated. Spread the onions into a single layer in the pan. Cook the onions until they are carmelized, about 15 minutes, stirring so they don’t burn.
Lower the heat to medium low and add 1 large clove of minced garlic, stirring to saute about 1 minute. Add two tablespoons of brown sugar. Stir into the onion mixture and cook for 2 minutes.
Mix together softened cream cheese, sour cream, onion powder and worcestershire sauce. Chop the cooled carmelized onions into very fine pieces. Reserve a small amount of chopped onions for topping the finished dip, if desired. Fold the onions into the cream cheese mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Top with chopped parsley and reserved onions.

Easy French Onion Dip
This super easy French onion dip tastes absolutely amazing and will only take you minutes to get ready.
Full Recipe:
This dip is amazing by itself, but you probably would agree that no dip is complete without something to eat it with.
Check out our tortilla chips recipe video or use some supermarket crackers, carrot sticks, or anything else you enjoy eating dip with.
If you’re after a list of ingredients in the easy French onion dip recipe, then you can find them below.
250g (9 oz) cream cheese
1 packet of French onion soup
4 Tbsp water
If you find that the French onion dip is a little too thick, then adjust the amount of water you add to the soup mix. Make sure you add the water when cooking the soup mix and not into the cream cheese, as this can cause the mix to get a bit funny.
This dip will last for a week or longer if you keep in an airtight container and in the fridge. If you leave it uncovered, the dip will start to go hard and discolored on top.
