4 Sweet potatoes; *
1 c Sugar
1/2 c All-purpose flour
1/2 c Butter or margarine;softened
1 Egg
1/2 ts To 1 tsp almond extract
Whipped cream * Medium size\peeled\cooked\mashed Combine all the ingredients except whipped cream in a large mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Spoon mixture into a 9-inch pie plate. Bake at 450^ for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm or cool with a dollop of whipped cream. YIELD: One 9-inch pie. Recipe:
~ 1 large can sweet potatoes or equivalent peeled & cooked taters
~ 2 pats butter
~ 1 Cup sugar
~ 1/2 Cup cornstarch
~ Dash of cinnamon
~ 1 Cup evaporated milk
~ Splash of vanilla
~ 3 egg yolks-add last
* Mix in heated pan & pour into greased 9 inch pie pan
Topping:
1/2 Cup plain flour
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/2 Cup butter
1/2 Cup pecans
Mix topping till crumbly & place on pie
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 50 minutes

Today we making THEEE sweet potato pie recipe with a graham cracker crust and brown butter! This pie has such a very deep caramel flavor and richness without being overwhelmingly sweet. At by using the blender it is so easy! The graham cracker crust is a welcome change of pace from the typical pastry dough crust. We break a couple rules for this one but TRUST your family is going to love it!
Full Recipe:
Graham Cracker Crust
10 sheets graham crackers
1 stick or 1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 brown sugar
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Filling:
3 smallish/medium sweet potatoes
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg (fresh preferred)
pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 stick or 1/2 cup browned butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 tbsp flour
1/4 tsp powdered sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar

Southern Sweet Potato Pie
Ingredients:
2 Cups Baked or Boiled Sweet Potatoes
1/2 Cup Evaporated Milk
1/2 Stick Salted Butter
1 Tablespoon All Purpose Flour
2 eggs
3/4 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Extract
1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Ground Allspice
1 Deep Dish Pie Crust
Preheat Oven
Bake @350 Degrees for 1 hour 10 mins.
Let pie completely cool before serving
