cooking Shrimp Scampi from frozen to cooked
This box of Sea Pak Shrimp Scampi I bought in the frozen foods grocery store isle. In the box is a bag of raw shrimp covered in butter garlic wine sauce. I pour the whole bag into a skillet a let the shrimps boil in it's own butter garlic sauce for 7 minutes until the shrimp is cooked. It couldn't be any easier this way.
Electric skillets (affiliate link):
The shrimp came out juicy and succulent and buttery tasting. Ingredients: shrimp, butter, white cooking wine (wine, salt), water, garlic, annatto extract (color), lemon juice concentrate, oregano, parsley, salt, shallots, spice, sugar, tapioca starch, xanthan gum.
Cooking instructions from the box:
Saute:
- preheat skillet on medium high heat.
- arrange frozen shrimp in skillet.
- saute half package 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until shrimps are cooked.
Conventional oven:
- preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- arrange frozen shrimp in a single layer in oven safe dish and place on middle of rack
- for half package, bake 16-17 minutes.
Microwave:
- arrange frozen shrimp in a single layer in microwave safe bowl.
- cover with paper towel.
- for 1 serving (6 pieces), microwave on high for 3 minutes.
