How To make Limas In Sour Cream
1 pk Lima beans; (10 oz frozen)
1 tb Butter (or marg.)
1 sm Onion; minced
pn Sugar 1/2 ts Basil leaves; crushed, dried
1/4 ts Savory
1 c Sour cream
Cook lima beans as directed on package; drain. Melt butter in a small saucepan; add onion, and sute over low heat until tender (about 5 minutes). Add sugar, basil, savory, and limas to onion; heat thoroughly. Stir in sour cream. Heat well, but do not boil. Serve hot. SOURCE: Southern Living Magazine, sometime in 1974. This is not my own recipe but it is my favorite. Sour cream is used as a topping in many mexican dishes, plus this one is only five ingredients and bomb! :D

Ingredients:
1 cup soaked cashews
1 cup cooked white rice
1/4 cup sunflower kernels
1/4 cup either rice vinegar,lemon or lime juice
1 tsp vegan lactic acid optional
3 probiotic capsules optional
1 or more cups of water
salt to taste
Instructions:
Put everything in your blender except probiotic capsules and blend until smooth adding water until you get the consistency you like. Let cool a bit, add in probiotic capsules if using. If using probiotic capsules let mixture sit out overnight (to start it culturing) before placing in refrigerator. After chilling you may need to add more water, just whisk it in. Add salt or other seasonings you like.

I am OBSESSED with this MEXICAN CREMA recipe. It's the easiest vegan cashew sour cream that taste delicious, is cheap and healthy! If you are latina(o) you know how important crema or sour cream is. This is a vegan staple item in my fridge and I use it on vegan tacos, vegan burritos, vegan enchiladas you name it! I hope you guys enjoy this vegan Mexican crema (sour cream) recipe as much as I do!

Vegan Cashew Crema - Plain 'Sour cream'
1 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup water
1 Lemon and 1/2 a lime juiced (you can also use any lemons you want but this is the combo I found to be perfect)
1 TBS kosher salt
Vegan Cilantro Lime Crema
1 cup raw cashews
1/2 cup water
2 limes
1 TBS kosher salt
1 bunch of cilantro
2 spring onion stems
1 jalapeño
Add about 2 Tbs more of water if needed
Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until well pureed
