Herbed sweet onion scalloped potatoes here:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 cup molasses (you can use less ie. 1/4 cup instead or leave it out altogether if you'd like)
Combine sauce ingredients and pour over 2lbs of chicken pieces (placed in a single layer in a greased baking dish).
Bake at 350 F until chicken tests done and has reached desired tenderness (about 45 minutes to an hour for chicken thigh pieces).
Baste chicken pieces with sauce in the bottom of the pan a couple of times during baking process.
I have no clue who invented this recipe, I have been making it for over 20 years and have it written out on an old fashioned recipe card full of splotches and water marks (you know those are the best kind!).
