3 tb Water
4 ts Cornstarch
1 Egg; beaten
3/4 c Light cream
3/4 c Sugar
1 ts Ground cinnamon
1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
4 md Red delicious apples; peeled
Pastry for double-crust pie 2 tb Butter
1 tb Milk
1 tb Cinnamon-sugar
Recipe by: Taste of Home Dec/Jan 94 In a small bowl, mix water and cornstarch until dissolved; add egg, cream, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; place apples in a large bowl; pour cream mixture over and stir to coat; line a 9-inch pie pan with the bottom pastry; pour apple mixture into crust; dot with butter; top with remaining pastry; flute edges and cut slits in top; brush with milk and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar; bake at 350~F for 55 minutes or until golden brown. -----

Beth Howard has made pie for stars like Barbra Streisand (lemon meringue), Dick Van Dyke (strawberry rhubarb), and Steven Spielberg (coconut cream).
Rebel pie maker, Beth Howard doesn't like to measure. She says, Every pie should be unique and reflect your personality. Pie is not about perfection. It should look homemade. People should know that you made this with your own two hands.
Pie Dough
2.5 cups flour (white all-purpose) plus 1 cup for rolling
1/2 cup butter, chilled
1/2 cup crisco
Dash of salt
Ice water (fill 1 cup but use only enough to moisten the dough)
Pie Filling
7 large Granny Smith apples, peeled (3lbs)
3/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons flour
Dash of salt
1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon butter (dollop on top before covering with top crust)
1 beaten egg (just enough to brush on pie before baking)
It was an amazing afternoon! I thought I was going to learn how to make pie, but I learned that pie can heal and bring people together. I had so much fun giving away the free pie. I saw that such a simple thing as giving of yourself can provide so much joy.

American Apple Pie
Apple pie recipe
4-5 apples
4 eggs
Flour 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
0.5 teaspoon baking powder
Butter 30 g
Powdered sugar
Whip eggs with sugar in a deep bowl.
Add melted butter.
Sift flour with baking powder into the mass.
Mix well.
Add pre-peeled and chopped apples to the dough.
Grease the baking dish with soft butter.
Pour the dough into the mold.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
Sprinkle powdered sugar if desired.
Done!
