Once you try this hot fudge I doubt you will want to eat store bought hot fudge again. Just read those ingredients on the label. High fructose corn syrup, carageenan, and poly sorbate 60 are just not things I want to eat.
And you don't have to since making this is so easy and simple.
Here is a chocolate cake recipe that would be delicious topped with this sauce:
Ingredients:
1 cup organic heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup Golden Syrup or corn syrup
1/3 cup dark brown sugar, packed
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
pinch of salt
8 oz. chocolate, 60% cocoa or a mixture of semi sweet and 60% cocoa, broken into pieces.
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions:
In a sauce pan add cream, syrup, cocoa powder, salt, brown sugar and whisk until dissolved over medium low heat.
Bring to a gentle boil then turn off the heat and add the chocolate, butter and vanilla and whisk until fully combined and the chocolate is completely melted.
Serve over ice cream to make a sundae or over cake or brownies for a decadent dessert.
Thanks for watching!

Ingredients:
1 cup maida (all purpose flour)
1/2 cup super fine sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup warm milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
FUDGE SAUCE:
1/2 cup caster sugar + 1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1+1/4 cup boiling water
RECIPE NOTES-
This recipe is super quick. But just a few points to keep in mind so that you get all that beautiful gooeyness from the cake-
While mixing the dry ingredients for the cake batter, if your cocoa powder is lumpy, you can sift it in instead of simply adding it. Sifting will help remove all the lumps and give a smooth batter.
While pouring over boiling water, make sure to not mix it in. let the water just sit and the cake will bake beautifully.
When the cake is in the oven, check for the jiggly centre after 35 minutes of baking. If you think the cake is too liquidy from the centre, then you can bake it for an additional 10 minutes.
If you want to enhance the chocolate flavor even more, you can add 1/4tsp of coffee powder into the boiling water and then bake this cake.
