Spicy Refrigerator Pickles Recipe | How to Make Homemade Hot Fridge Pickles
Spicy homemade fridge pickles are so easy to make and once you've tasted the homemade version, you'll never buy a jar in the store again. Hot refrigerator pickles take no time to throw together, they're fridge pickles meaning no canning headaches, and you can tweak this recipe a million ways to make your very own signature version. Fridge pickles / Refrigerator Pickles are pickles that stay in your fridge rather than the ones you leave out on a shelf...pretty self explanatory. They don't require any special gear to jar, and you'll have a finished jar of pickles in under 15 minutes following this recipe. This is a great way to use that summer garden of cucumbers and chili peppers, or simply grab a few cucumbers at the store along with your favorite hot peppers and get to work!

4-5 large kirby cucumbers
3-6 hot chili peppers of your choice

1 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 tsp. black pepper corns

**Super EASY** Dill Pickles || Summer Canning || Large Family Food Storage
Looking for a super easy dill pickle recipe? This is one I've been using for our family for years. I love canning in the summer and working to fill up our large family food storage! I hope you find this helpful! Here are the directions below as well as a few links to canning equipment through my amazon links. Happy Canning!
Super Easy Dill Pickles
*Fresh Dill (sprigs and heads)
*cucumbers
*garlic cloves
For the Brine:
*8 1/2 cups of water
*2 1/4 cups vinegar
*1/2 cup of pickling salt
Fill your water bath canner with water and set on the stove to start bringing to a boil.
Also combine the ingredients for the brine into a large pot set on medium heat to use later when filling the jars.
After cucumbers are washed begin slicing them lengthwise into spears. Place a garlic clove and dill in the bottom of each sanitized jar, then begin pack the cucumber spears tightly. once they are packed fill each one with brine leaving only 1/2 inch of head space at the top.
Follow proper canning protocol by placing a new lid on top (that has been sitting in a warm pot on the stove) and screw on rings to finger tip tight.
After all jars have been filled place them in your canner on your jar rack and lower them down into the water making sure there is enough water to cover them by 1 inch. Place lid on top and process for 15 minutes at a boil.
Place jars on a towel on the countertop for 24 hours. Your lids should pop to sound they are done. If some don't seal then place them in the refrigerator.
Let pickles sit for at least 2 weeks to ensure good flavor and ENJOY!
**This recipe is one I personally use, it has not been approved or given out by an approved canning source. Proceed to use at your own risk. Do not eat if seals do not seal (unless placed directly in the fridge).

How To Make Dill Pickles - Spicy Pickle Recipe
How To Make Dill Pickles - Spicy Pickle Recipe
If you like pickles, there is no reason to buy them from the grocery store. All that you need is 10 minutes and 3 to 7 days to make the best dill pickles you've ever tasted.
The best thing about making homemade pickles is that you can tailor them to suit your tastes, making them sweet or sour, and adding as much or as little flavoring as you wish. The trick with pickling is to create an environment that is not hospitable to the bad bacteria while preserving the integrity of the vegetables. The 1:1 ratio of vinegar to water keeps vegetables crisp in the fridge, but is also acidic enough that they can be canned safely if you choose to.
The ingredients I used for these spicy dill pickles are:
3 large pickles
2 Tbsp. pickling spice
5 garlic cloves sliced
3 Tbsp. Kosher salt
4 Tbsp. sugar
Dill (fresh or dried to taste) I used about 6 sprigs
1 1/4 cup vinegar
Boiling water to cover
3 Ghost chili peppers (any hot pepper will work) optional
