How To make Glazed Chicken Legs with Cornbread Stuffing
1 pk Cornbread stuffing mix (6oz)
4 Chicken legs (drumsticks
-and thighs connected) Salt Pepper 3 T Currant jelly
1/2 t Kitchen Bouquet or other
-browning sauce Prepare stuffing mix according to package directions. Spoon into a baking dish, forming a mound. Remove skin from chicken; discard. Rinse and pat dry using paper towels. Place chicken parts skin-side down on top of stuffing with thighs next to side of dish and drumstick ends over center of stuffing. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; cover with wax paper. Place jelly in a 1-cup glass measure. Microwave on high 30 seconds, or until jelly melts. Stir in Kitchen Bouquet; set aside. Rotating dish midway though cooking, microwave on high 7 minutes. Turn chicken skin-side up and brush jelly mixture over surface of chicken; re-cover. Microwave on high 7-9 minutes, or until juices run clear when chicken is pierced with a fork. Let stand 5 minutes. Nutrient data per serving: 475 calories; 32 grams protein; 20 grams fat (36 percent total calories); 41 grams carbohydrates; 1 gram dietary fiber; 121 milligrams cholesterol; 948 milligrams sodium.

How To Make Cornbread Dressing
The Best Cornbread Stuffing Recipe Ever
Boil chicken gizzards for 30-45 minutes or until tender
Meanwhile, make your cornbread
In a big bowl combine 1-1/2 Cups of Cornmeal, 1 Cup of Sugar, 1/2 Cup of All-Purpose Flour, 1 tsp of Baking Powder, 3 Tbs Parsley, 2 Tbs of Sage, 2 Tbs of Season Salt, 2 Tbs of Garlic Powder, 2 Tbs of Onion Powder, 1 tsp of Black Pepper then stir in well
Combine wet ingredients
In a big bowl combine 1-1/2 sticks of butter/margarine, 3 battered eggs, 1-1/2 cups of Buttermilk and 2/3 cups of vegetable oil
Then combine both the dry and wet ingredients and stir in well
Place in a baking pan and bake on 350 for 45 minutes or until done
Meanwhile, chop up 2 medium onions, 3 stalks of celery, half of red pepper and half of orange pepper into small pieces
Squeeze 16oz sweet Italian sausage meat out of pork skin and chop up sausage meat also chop up cooked 1 cup of gizzards into small pieces as well
Place a pan over medium heat and add 3 tbs of oil
Place chopped up meat into the pan and fry for 15 minutes before adding chopped vegetables.
Fry until done.
After cornbread is done, break it up into small pieces and place it into a big bowl
Add 3 cans of (10oz) cream of chicken and 1 can of (10oz) cream of celery. Add chicken broth and stir. Add meat and vegetables to the bowl or cornbread and stir in well
Place cornbread stuffing back into the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes... stir the cornbread stuffing and bake for another 20-30

Ingredients
-Buttermilk cornbread (I DON’T USE JIFFY MIX but I’m not going to judge you but I wouldn’t recommend it)
-Stove top stuffing (I used chicken flavor )
- Bone in Chicken (I boiled my own for a hour in half water half store bought chicken broth with the same seasoning below plus paprika & salt but you can use rotisserie)
-White Bread toasted
-2 cans of Campbells cream of chicken
-8 cups of chicken broth
-1 Yellow onion
-1 Green Bell pepper
-2 stalks of Celery
-Onion powder
-Garlic powder
-Black pepper
-Ground sage
-Ground thyme
-Poultry seasoning
-Butter

Ingredients
To make the stock
1 whole chicken
or 1 pack bone in chicken breast
3 tbs chicken bouillon
2 tbs each garlic, onion powder, paprika
1 tbs black pepper
1/2 bell pepper chopped
4 chunks celery
1/2 onion cut into pieces
please adjust to preferred taste
to make the dressing:
Preheat oven to 375
2 pack cornbread packs
water ( for cornbread)
1 package stovetop stuffing mix ( I use the savory herbs flavor or chicken flavor ) the box usually comes with two.. I only used one
2 cans cream of chicken
2 cans cream celery
2 tbs poultry seasoning or to taste
3 tbs soften butter
4- 5 cups homemade stock (adjust as necessary )
2 cups shredded chicken ( or desired amount)
*Tips*
Remember the dressing will slightly stiffen once removed from oven and it sits a while so be sure to not overcook it ! *

I absolutely love this Baked Chicken Recipe, it is so easy and quick to put together. You hardly need a recipe because you can combine your favorite spices or marinades. I love preparing my own seasonings, and this combination is just perfect. I chose chicken thighs and drumsticks, but you can use a mix of wings, thighs and drumsticks or stick to the ones you like the most. One good thing about this baked chicken is you can prepare as much as you want because it makes perfect leftovers. I always use butter before seasoning, because I think it adds a delicious flavor and some good color, but you can also use olive oil if you like. This baked chicken will be delicious with your favorite side and you can change it around too, I guess it’s why I prepare it often. I hope you give it a try.❤️
