Kosher salt 1 tablespoon baking powder
1 stick chilled butter :
cut into cubes
2/3 cup whole milk
2 1/2 pounds medium-sized ripe slicing tomatoes -- peeled and
sliced 1 fresh basil
4 ounces grated medium-sharp or sharp Cheddar (2 cups)
2/3 cup
1/2 lemon
2 tablespoons heavy cream :
up to 3
Sift or mix together the flour, pepper, 1 teaspoon salt and the baking powder. Either by hand using a pastry blender or in a food processor, quickly work the butter into the flour mixture so that it has the consistency of coarse-grain sand. If using a food processor, add the milk, pulse quickly 2 to 3 times

Today we are making Tomato Pie-this delicious homemade tomato pie can be made super easy at home! Tomatoes are an excellent source of vitamins and antioxidants and can be paired with simple ingredients to bring about this amazing southern pie favorite. Creamy, cheesy deliciousness and warm. A great treat and excellent way to get rid of those extra Tomatoes in your garden. Perfect Keto friendly and vegetarian meal.
1. 9 deep dish pie shell pre baked
2. onions/scallions chopped
3. tomatos cut salt before laying out
*Optional 1/4 cup sliced baysal
4. 2 cups grated cheese provolone & mozzarella
5. 1 cup of Mayanoise
***Salt and pepper to taste optional
Directions
1. Pre heat oven to 350
2. salt 3-4LARGE tomatoes
2. eliminate moisture from pie and bake. 5-10 mins.
3. Sprinkle the bottom of the pre cut pie shell with chopped onions or cheese
4. Spread the tomatos over the peppers/cheese or bottom of the shell
5. Mix together your mayonnaise and cheese; and sprinkle with salt and black pepper
6. Spread the cheese AND make sure the tomatos are patted dry
7. place in the oven and bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until brown and bubbly - then add extra cheese
