Herby Falafel Burger | Recipe | Nando's UK
Easy, simple, tasty. Introducing dinner, without all the falafel. Well, actually, all of it, but you get the idea…
Serves 2
30ml Coconut & Lemon PERi-PERi sauce
400g cooked tinned chickpeas (drained)
20g of plain flour
Small handful of chopped coriander
Small handful of chopped parsley
Prep time: 5 mins
Cook time: 8-10 mins
1 - Finely chop parsley and coriander, then add all ingredients to the food processor.
2 - Blend together all the ingredients, then form into 2 burgers - dust them with some extra flour to ease forming.
3 - Preheat a frying pan to medium-high heat with a drizzle of oil.
4 - Place the burgers in the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally.
5 - Remove from pan and serve on a mixed salad and drizzle with Coconut & Lemon PERi-PERi - enjoy the new flavour!

Falafel Recipe How to Make Chickpea Patties
To make falafel, I soak the chickpeas with cold water 1 day in advance.
I added 3 cups of chickpeas and 700 grams in grams
first I washed the chickpeas, pinched them with my hands and drained the water completely
I added cold water and changed the water after about 8 hours and after waiting for 8 more hours, the chickpeas were soaked in water for a total of 16 hours.
8 small onions and garlic
1 bunch of parsley
I used 4 eggs
3 glasses of flour and half a spoon of baking soda
salt and spices, coriander, black pepper, chili flakes, cumin, mint, ginger
I added sesame and black cumin, thinking it would suit
I use tahini for my first sauce.
some solid yogurt
Strained yoghurt is used, but I don't think it should be a very solid sauce.
lemon juice
salt
my other sauce is very simple and ready mix I tried it and I like it
mayonnaise and ketchup mix
If you wish, you can add some bitter and pomegranate syrup in addition to this mixture.
chickpeas waited for 16 hours, this way you can eat it like a çerek I love it
I use a large mixer
I added chickpeas
onions and garlic
I added 20 grams of salt
chili pepper
coriander
I added some mint pepper
I would like to state that I did this as an experiment without following the original recipe.
some powdered ginger and baking soda
I would like to state that if you add too much carbonate, it spoils the taste.

I added the mixture to the pot and added the chopped parsley

I added a little more cumin and mixed it
transfer the mixture into a smaller container
I prepared the frying pan and add the frying oil
After waiting for the oil to heat up, I add the falafel patties.
I practically added the meatballs to the frying oil using 2 spoons.
maybe the shape should be round in the original recipe, I don't know exactly but I made it this way
i used wooden spoon to flip and stir while frying
that's how
I deep fried the falafel patties
I fried 60 falalef patties this way.

In order for the falafel to be crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, you need to fry it on a little high heat.

1Tbsp Baking Powder
1tsp Sea Salt

1tsp Cumin
1/2 cup Flour
2 Tbsp Lemon juice
Tahini Sauce
1/4 cup Tahini
1Tbsp Lemon juice
1 Tbsp Dill weed
1/2 tsp SeaSalt
1/2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
1/4 cup Coconut Milk
Toppings
Green leaf lettuce
Tomato
Cucumber
Makes 3 large Burgers

Today we are cooking a vegetarian burger. The goal is to ultimately have a collection of burger recipes to substitute over meat. We will be cooking a Falafel Burger made from chickpeas & herbs. It will be topped with freshly made couscous tomato salad & we will be making a tahini (sesame seed paste), lemon & dill sauce and finish it up with a bit of Feta. It could be called the middle eastern burger as well. A great vegetarian burger for the collection.
