How To make Chili Con Seitan
2 tb Olive oil
1 lg Onion; chopped
2 Celery stalks; chopped
4 Garlic cloves; minced
1 Green pepper; chopped
2 c Ground Seitan
1 ts Basil
1/2 ts Oregano
1 ts Cumin
1 ts Chili powder
1/4 ts Cloves; ground
Cayenne or hot sauce, to -taste 2 c Red kidney beans; cooked
1/2 c Liquid from beans
4 c Tomatoes, canned
Tamari to taste Heat the oil in a large, heavy kettle. Add the onion and celery. Saute until almost tender. Add the garlic, green pepper, gluten, and spices. Saute for a few minutes more. Add the beans, cooking liquid, and tomatoes. Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add tamari to taste. Serve with cornbread or tortillas and a big green salad. From the files of DEEANNE

A rich, hearty meat-free meal packed with flavour and a kick of chili. All the taste of a classic chili, but with fewer calories and less saturated fat.
INGREDIENTS
3 Cups Soya granules/mince ➡ how to prepare soya mince
1 Large onion, chopped
1 Large carrot, grated
2 Cloves garlic, chopped
1 Large Green bell pepper, chopped in cubes
200 grams Bio red kidney beans
1 1/2 cup tomato concasse ( chopped tin tomatoes )
1 Tablespoon tomato paste
500 ml Bio vegetable stock
2 Tablespoons smoked paprika
1 Teaspoon red chili powder or more to taste
1 Teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 Teaspoon black pepper powder
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon dry thyme

Chili Con Seitan (Chili sin carné)
Pour cette nouvelle vidéo recette, direction le Texas avec une grande inspiration Mexicaine avec des épices. j'avais l'habitude de faire mon chili sin carné avec des protéines de soja mais cette fois j'ai voulu essayer avec du seitan et le résultat est délicieux.

INGREDIENTS (pour 6 personnes) :
- 150g de Gluten de Blé
- 70g de Farine de Pois-Chiches
- 1 C. à S. d'Ail en poudre
- 250 ml d'Eau
- 1 C. à S. de sauce soja
- Bouillon de légumes
- Huile d'olive
- 1 ou 2 Oignons rouges
- 2 Poivrons (rouge & vert)
- 2 gousses d'Ails
- 2 C. à S. de sauce soja
- 400g de Tomates concassées
- 700g de purée de Tomates
- Epices : Piment fort et doux, Cumin, Coriandre, Origan, Sel et Poivre
- 500g de Haricots rouges
- 250g de Maïs
- Tabasco

Ein absoluter Klassiker unter den Eintopfgerichten. Wusstet ihr eigentlich, dass Chili con Carne gar nicht aus der mexikanischen Küche stammt? (Zumindest laut Wikipedia) Eigentlich kommt es aus dem Süden der vereinigten Staaten. Kidneybohnen waren auch nicht immer darin enthalten. Texas Chili enthält zum Beispiel gar keine Bohnen. Genausowenig gab es im Originalrezept Mais, den vermissen wahrscheinlich einige von euch ^^. Der kommt meist nur in deutschen Chilirezepten vor.
Wie ihr seht wurde an diesem Gericht schon viel variiert. Apropos variiert, kennt ihr die Varianten mit Kakao oder Schokolade? Was haltet ihr davon?
