How To make Chicken Paprikas w/Dumplings Grandpa
2 pound Chicken -- parts
1 Med Onion- chopped fine
2 tablespoon Butter
1 tablespoon Paprika
2 cup Chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper
1 tablespoon Flour
1 cup Sour cream
Dumplings 2 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Salt
2 Egg
1/2 cup Water
Cook onion in butter until tender. Add paprika and blend. Add chicken, cover and simmer 15 minutes. Add bouillon, salt and pepper. Cook until tender. Remove chicken, keep warm. Mix flour and sour cream. Add to skillet juices, blend over medium heat until thickend without> the sauce separating, serve over chicken and dumplings. Combine all ingredients. Mix until smooth. Drop by 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoons into boiling salted water,>>>>>>>>>>>>> dipping spoon to prevent sticking. Dumplings are done when they rise to the top. Remove with slotted spoon. Serves 4. ~ HUNGARIAN PAPRIKASH ~
Ingredients
3 Tbsp of oil.
1 whole Free-Range chicken
1 Green Onion (diced)
2 Medium Sized Carrots (sliced)
3 Medium Sized Potato
1 Cup of Lentils
2 Tbsp of Paprika
2 Tbsp of Vegeta
1 Tbsp of Salt
2 L of Water
* Steps are so easy!
Add oil to the pot. Then Place the chopped onion together with the 2 Tbsp of Hungarian Paprika or any sweet paprika then sautee them together. Then add the carrots and potato. When it comes to chicken, its up to you how you like it. you can place the chicken before or after you add the water. In this case, we added the chicken after we added the water in the pot. We added the lentils first before the chicken. We bring the water to boil. We then added 2 Tbsp of Pepper, 2Tbsp of Salt, 2 Tbsp of Vegeta. When the water is boiling, Stir the content of the soup inside for a good mix! Serve with Noodles or dumpling whatever you like! Enjoy!
