Chicken Curry Dhaba Style
Ingredients:
Oil 1/2 cup
Onion (chopped) 1 ½ cup
Ginger (chopped) 1 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Tomato (chopped) 1 cup
Green chilies (sliced) 1/4 cup
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Paprika powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Chicken 1 ½ kg
Yogurt 1 ½ cup
Ginger (julienne) for garnishing
Green chilies (sliced) for garnishing
Hot water 2 cups
Dried fenugreek as required
Garam masala powder as required
Green coriander (chopped) for garnishing
Directions:
1. In a pot heat oil and onion. Cook until translucent.
2. Now add ginger and garlic. Cook for a minute.
3. Add tomatoes, green chilies, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, paprika powder, coriander powder, salt and cook for 2-3 mins.
4. Add chicken and cook for 4-5 mins.
5. Add yogurt and cook until oil separates. Add ginger, green chilies and mix it well.
6. Add hot water and cover and cook for 10-15 mins or until chicken is fully done.
7. Add dried fenugreek, garam masala powder and mix it well.
8. Now dish it out, garnish it with grene chilies, green coriander, ginger and serve. Your Dhaba Style Chicken Curry is ready.

Cooking time: 30-40 mins

Hyderabadi Chilli Chicken Curry | Hyderabadi Chilli Chicken Restaurant Style | Hyderabadi Style Green Chilli Chicken | Hyderabadi Chilli Chicken | Green Chilli Chicken Curry | Hyderabadi Style Chicken Curry | Chicken Curry | Chicken Recipe
Ingredients for Hyderabadi Chilli Chicken Curry:
(Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon)
- Chicken, curry cut with bones - 1 Kg
Onion-Chilli Green paste:
- Onion, cubed- 2 medium (160 gms)
- Ginger, chopped- 2 inches (20 gms)
- Garlic cloves- 12-14( 15 gms)
- Green Chillies- 10 (25 gms)
- Coriander Leaves, chopped- 8 tbsp (40 gms)
For the Marination:r
- Turmeric powder-1 tsp
- Salt- 2 tsp
- Whisked curd/yogurt- 8 tbsp (200 gms)
- Green paste made in grinder
Spice Powders:
- Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder- 1.5 tsp
- Later,
- Garam Masala Powder- 2 tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Green Chillies, cut- 4-5
- Oil -5-6 tbsp
For Garnish:
- Coriander leaves, chopped- 4 tbsp
Preparation:
- To make the Green paste, peel and cube/thick slice the onions, peel the ginger and garlic and chop the ginger & coriander leaves. Also cut the green chillies into two.
- To make the paste, add all these items to a grinder and grind into a paste.
- Whisk the yogurt and set it aside.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with the green paste, turmeric, whisked curd/yogurt and salt.
- Set aside for 30 mins.
Process:
- Heat oil in a pan or kadhai and then add the green chillies. Give a stir and lower the heat. Add the spice powders other than Garam Masala powder and give a mix for 15 secs.
- Add the marinated chicken, give a mix and fry on high heat for around 5 mins till chicken turns white and oil starts to leave the sides.
- Now cover & cook on low heat for around 20 mins till the masala is cooked, chicken is tender and oil separates. Do stir it once after 10 mins.
- Now add the garam masala powder, give a mix and cover & cook for another 5 mins.
- Lastly garnish with chopped coriander leaves

How To Cook Indian Style Chicken Curry - Chicken Curry Recipe For Beginners
If you follow this video step by step then I assure you that you will be making the best Indian style chicken curry. I tried my best to explain everything in detail and all the tips and tricks possible that go into making chicken curry.
Ingredients for making a chicken curry - serves 6 to 7
* 2.2 lb/ 1 kg chicken on bones. Please note that I preferably use chicken on bones for making a chicken curry. It's not that you cannot use boneless chicken but the gravy won't be as tasty.
* 2 large potatoes quartered or medium potatoes halved. I did not boil the potatoes before adding them.
* 1 very large onion or 2 medium sized onions. I used quarter of the onion for making a paste.
* 2 inch length ginger
* 10 large garlic cloves
* 1 large tomato
* 2 green chillies (optional)
* 2 large dry bay leaf
* 1 inch length cinnamon stick
* 6 to 7 green cardamoms
* 4 to 5 cloves
* 1/4 th cup plain unflavored yogurt
* 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
* 2 heaped teaspoons Kashmiri red chilli powder. You can even use regular red chilli powder but in that case please use less. Adjust the proportion of any chilli powder according to your tolerance of heat level. Add only half a teaspoon to start with, do a taste test at the end and add more if you feel you want more chilli heat.
* 1 tablespoon ground coriander
* 1 teaspoon garam masala powder.If you want to make garam masala powder at home then here is the recipe -
* 1/4 th teaspoon ground mace (optional)
* 1/4 th teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
* 2 teaspoons salt (add less to start with, you can always add later)
* 1 teaspoon sugar(optional)
* 1 cup hot water. You can go up to a total of 1 & 1/2 cups of hot water if you want more gravy.
* 1/4th cup oil ( 4 to 5 tablespoons)
Serve this with rice/roti/paratha/naan.

Ingredients
Chicken – 500 grams
Finely chopped onion – 2
Tomato – 2
Ginger garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
Curd – 3 tbl spoon
Coriander leaves
Oil – 3 tbl spoon
Chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder – 1½ teaspoon
Cumin powder – ¼ teaspoon
Garam masala – ¾ teaspoon
Salt

This is a creamy version of chicken curry that is very easy to cook and the ingredients are very simple and easy to find.
Chicken Curry Ingredients:
1 kilo chicken your choice of cuts (e.g. legs, wings or thigh) or 1 whole dressed chicken
2 large onions quartered
3 pcs red and green bell peppers cut into strips
3 stalks celery cut 1 inch long
3 pcs medium sized potatoes cut into large cubes and fried
2 Tbsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1 tsp. MSG or granulated seasoning optional
1 Tbsp. patis
1 tsp. salt
4 cloves garlic crushed
1 cup coconut milk or evaporated milk

Ingredients:
900g (2 pounds) chicken breast, cut into cubes
2 onions
3 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon grated ginger
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoon curry powder
1.5 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 large tomatoes, chopped
1 can (400g/14oz) coconut cream/milk
½ teaspoon garam masala (optional)
Coriander, chopped – for garnish
Directions:
1. In a large pan heat oil. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden, over medium-low heat. stir occasionally.
2. When onions are golden add grated garlic and ginger. Stir and cook for 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until soft. Add curry powder and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes. Add chicken breast, season with salt and pepper, cook for 5 minutes, until golden. Cover the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes more. Add water, cover and cook 10 minutes.
3. Add coconut milk/cream, season with garam masala and salt, stir, and cook until lightly thickens.
