History
The history of Busy Day Soup is not well documented, but it is believed to have originated in the United States in the mid-20th century. The name Busy Day Soup likely reflects the fast-paced and hectic lifestyle of people during that time, who were looking for quick and easy meals that could be made in a hurry.
Busy Day Soup typically consists of canned vegetables, such as corn, green beans, and potatoes, mixed with either ground beef or ground turkey. The soup is seasoned with a variety of spices and seasonings, such as salt, pepper, and paprika, and then simmered until the vegetables are tender and the flavors have melded together.
The dish became popular due to its ease of preparation and the fact that it could be made in large quantities, making it perfect for busy families and large gatherings. It also became popular in schools, as it was an affordable and nutritious meal that could be served to students in large quantities.
Today, Busy Day Soup remains a popular dish, especially during the colder months, when people are looking for comforting, warm meals to help them through the winter. It has also evolved to include a variety of ingredients, such as different types of vegetables, herbs, and even different types of meat, to accommodate different tastes and preferences.
