Peel and core apples. Put through coarse blade of grinder. Mix with sugar and cinnamon. Fill pierogi. Cover the cooked pierogi with thick sour cream, buttered bread crumbs sugar and cinnamon. Dough for pies:
All purpose flour - 500 g
Warm Milk - 150 g
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 tbsp
Dry yeast - 7 g
Warm water - 200 ml
Vegetable oil - 50 ml
Potato filling:
Potatoes - 700 g
Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
Onion - 150 g (1.5 PCs)
Salt and pepper - to taste
Dill - optional
Vegetable oil for frying

Jenny's Polish pierogi are filled with a delicious mashed potato mixture with browned onions and cream cheese. Pierogi can be made with various fillings like sauerkraut & mushroom, meat, and even fruit but these were my family's favorite.

Apple Pierogies - Dessert Hand Pies - Perogies with cinnamon and sugar
Frozen Sarge's Homemade Pierogies with apple filling were boiled and sauteed in butter, then topped with cinnamon and sugar. Sarge's Perogies are made in Bath, PA and sold frozen in several stores and fundraisers.
