Creamy Cilantro Dressing
Creamy Cilantro Dressing
This green vibrant dressing is so easy to make. It’s not just creamy - it’s also tangy and delicious. You can add lime for a little zest, but you really don’t need it. It just adds to the picture and takes away from the other flavors. However, if you must - freshly squeezed lime juice can be added to individual servings, rather than the jar of dressing itself. All preference.
You’ll want to make this more than once. I’ve made it a few different ways, but this has to be my favorite. It tastes so much better than the restaurant versions and it’s always best fresh!
There’s really no chopping - just toss it all in a blender or food processor and go! Salads, rice, tacos - you name it! It goes with almost everything. You can serve this immediately or refrigerate for a few hours to enjoy a more creamier dressing.
✨Full Recipe✨
Prep time: 5 minutes
Yield: 10 servings
✨Ingredients
8 ounces sour cream
2 ounces mayonnaise
1 bunch cilantro, stems removed
2 ounces canned green chilies, diced
1 garlic clove
salt, to taste
lime juice + zest - optional
✨Directions
Add all the ingredients into a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and well combined.
Add salt, to taste.
Serve immediately or for a more creamier dressing, refrigerate for a few hours before serving. Enjoy!
✨Helpful tips
•I used fire roasted can chilies for convenience and flavor. You can also use fresh jalapeños. Deseed for less heat.
•Always use fresh garlic.
•Add freshly squeezed lime juice and or lime zest to each serving as desired. I personally don’t think this recipe needs the lime, but it’s all preference.
•As you add salt to taste - you can also add a pinch of sugar or sweetener to balance out the tang. All optional.
•Serve over salad, tacos, burritos, rice and much more.
•Refrigerate remaining dressing and store in an airtight container for around/up to 5 days.
