Grilled Whole Salmon Fillet Recipe | Cook With Me
**Grilled Whole Salmon Fillet Recipe**
**Ingredients:**
- 1 whole salmon fillet, about 2-3 pounds, skin-on
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the Salmon:**
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- Place the salmon fillet on a clean, large cutting board. Pat it dry with paper towels.
2. **Season the Salmon:**
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
- Brush the salmon fillet generously with the marinade, making sure to coat the flesh side thoroughly. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes at room temperature.
3. **Grill the Salmon:**
- Carefully transfer the salmon fillet, skin-side down, onto the preheated grill. Close the lid and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon easily flakes with a fork. Be gentle when flipping to prevent the fillet from breaking.
- Cooking times may vary based on the thickness of your fillet. Use a meat thermometer; the internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145°F (63°C).
4. **Serve:**
- Once the salmon is grilled to perfection, carefully transfer it back to the cutting board.
- Sprinkle the grilled salmon with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
- Serve the grilled whole salmon fillet hot off the grill with lemon wedges on the side. It pairs wonderfully with your favorite grilled vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad.
