How To make Chicken Breasts a L'Orange
3 whole chicken breasts
halved
2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
dash pepper dash garlic powder 3 sweet potatoes (or 2) :
cut in 1/4" slices
1 10.75 oz can cream of celery soup or
cream of chicken soup 1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms :
drained
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind
2 teaspoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons flour
buttered rice
Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. Combine 2/3 cup flour with salt, nutmeg, ci nnamon, pepper and garlic powder. Thoroughly coat chicken in flour mixture.
Place sweet potato slices in bottom of Crock-Pot. Place chicken breasts on top .
Combine soup with remaining ingredients except buttered rice; stir well. Pour soup mixture over chicken breasts. Cover and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours or until chicken and vegetables are tender.
Serve chicken and sauce over hot buttered rice. Serves 6

Orange Chicken Sauce:
1 large orange juiced
Zest of 1/3 large orange
1/3 cup ( 75 grams) white sugar (I used castor)
2 tbsp (29 ml) honey
2 tbsp (29 ml) white vinegar (can sub with rice vinegar)
1/4 cup dark soy sauce
2 tsp Shaoxing wine (optional)
3 tbsp (44 ml) water
3 tbsp (44 ml) mirin
2 tsp (10 ml) sesame oil
1 tsp (5 ml) chicken bouillon
1 tbsp +1 tsp corn starch with 1 tbsp water
1 Fresno chili seeded and finely diced
5 garlic cloves
1 thumb-sized piece of ginger sliced thinly
Chicken and Batter:
1 1/2 pound chicken breast or thighs
1 1/2 cups water 344 grams
1 1/3 cups ap flour 200 grams
1 tbsp baking powder 16 grams
1/3 cup corn starch 50 grams
3 tbsp avocado oil
Salt 1 1/4 tsp
1 whole egg
Easy& Healthy Orange Chicken
There is no deep fry process nor tons of sugar in the recipe. So you won’t feel bad at all even though if you eat this every day! I literally meant every day, because it is so good I don’t mind eating this healthy orange chicken!

Easy Orange Chicken
Servings: 4
INGREDIENTS
Marinade
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons orange juice
¼ cup cornstarch
3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
Sauce
2 tablespoons oil
¾ cup orange juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
PREPARATION
1. In a bowl, combine marinade ingredients. Add chicken, and let marinate at least 1 hour.
2. In a pan, heat oil on medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade with a slotted spoon, and cook all sides until golden brown.
3. Add sauce ingredients to pan and bring to a boil, mixing continuously, until mixture thickens.
4. Serve over rice if desired.
