Take your steak to a whole new level!
Who doesn't love a juicy, slightly charred steak, served up with a mountain of chips (or saute potatoes if you're feeling posh) and some nice green veg!
It's one of my favourite weekend dinners, and it's made even better with the addition of one of these delicious sauces (ok, one is a garlic butter, but that works fab too!).
Most of these sauces can be made while your steak is resting, so your steak will be perfectly rested and ready to serve when that sauce is ready.

Easy Mushroom Cream Sauce Recipe
This versatile mushroom sauce recipe is savory, creamy, and loaded with mushroom flavor. Spoon it over steak, pork, chicken, potatoes, or vegetables to add richness and savory flavor to your dish.
Executive Chef David Rose's Easy Mushroom Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
8 oz. baby Bella mushrooms, sliced
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup minced shallots
6 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon freshly minced rosemary
1/2 teaspoon freshly minced thyme
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon freshly minced Italian parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. On medium high heat add olive oil to large saucepan.
2. Add mushrooms to pan and sauté for 2 mins until tender.
3. Add shallots, garlic, rosemary, thyme, butter, and a pinch of salt and pepper, and sauté for an additional 35 to 40 seconds.
4. Add heavy cream, bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat; continue to cook for about 5 mins until reduce by 1/3rd and thickened to sauce like consistently.
5. Season to taste with salt and pepper, add parsley and stir until well incorporated.
6. Serve hot with desired protein.
Vegan Gravy Recipe - Savory Mushroom Gravy Sauce Recipe
Vegetarian Vegan Mushroom Gravy Recipe
Gravy is one on favorite dishes at Thanksgiving. Gravy is not one of my favorite sauces, or sides, or add ons (like disgusting cranberry sauce); but Gravy is one of my favorite main courses. I would not be surprised if I just ate this recipe like soup. When I decided to become vegan/vegetarian, I thought I had to say good bye to this meaty greasy divine boat of love that is gravy. Not since I found out about mushroom gravy. I will show you how to make vegetarian gravy to fill your love boat again as well.
Ingredients for Mushroom Gravy:
¼ cup vegan margarine
8 oz Baby Portabella Mushrooms, chopped
1 small onion, minced
2 ½ cups vegetable broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ cup flour
½ teaspoon sage
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
Directions on how to make Mushroom Gravy:
Melt vegan margarine in a large skillet over high heat.
Add onions and mushrooms to the skillet and sautee until onions a translucent (about 2 minutes).
Reduce heat to medium. Sprinkle flour evenly over vegetables.
Slowly stir in vegetable broth and soy sauce to avoid lumps.
Reduce heat to a simmer, which is really low heat. Add in sage, salt, and pepper.
Allow the gravy to simmer and thicken for about 10 minutes. Stir slowly and almost constantly. Do not walk away from the stove!
