How to make roasted pumpkin seeds at home. You can even use this method for other winter squashes like butternut squash.
You can season pumpkin seeds with almost anything from your spice cabinet. Boiling the seeds in salted water for 5 minutes before roasting helps to clean and season them. Before baking, pat the boiled seeds very dry otherwise they will not brown or crisp.

Here is the recipe:
--cut open pumpkin
--take out seeds and strings and separate seeds from strings
--soak seeds in warm water and 3 tablespoons salt
--drain seeds and pat dry them
--melt 2 tablespoons butter in bowl. Mix seeds in the butter
--add your favorite seasonings. we did chili and cinnamon
-- lay on foiled cookie sheet and back at 350F for 35 minutes or until golden brown. let cool before eating.

Roasted pumpkin seeds recipe - how to make roasted pumpkin seeds
Don't throw away the seeds if you're cooking a pumpkin – try roasting them with this easy recipe. They make a tasty snack with a little salt, or an eye-catching garnish.
Ingredients
fresh pumpkin seeds, scooped from the pumpkin
2 tsp salt
water
Heat the oven to 180C fan.
Wash the seeds thoroughly and remove any stringy pieces of pumpkin flesh.
Dry well with a kitchen towel.
Put the seeds on a baking tray and toss with salt.
Roast for 20 mins. Serve with a little seasoning for a snack, if you like, or use as a garnish for salads or soups.

How To Roast Pumpkin Seeds With Salt | Toasting Pumpkin Seeds
Ingredients:
Pumpkin Seeds - 1 Cup
Clarified Butter/ Ghee - 1 TSP
Salt - 2 Pinches
Method:
Heat ghee in a pan and add salt. Mix well and add pumpkin seeds. Roast well on low to medium flame till the seeds start to splutter. Switch off the flame and continue to stir for another few minutes. Transfer to a plate to let it cool down. Store in an airtight container and enjoy as a quick tasty snack.

ROASTED PUMPKIN SEED RECIPE
½ cup pumpkin seeds
1 teaspoon olive oil
A fat pinch of kosher salt
Preheat oven to 400.
Rinse and DRY seeds thoroughly (or don't rinse at all).
Toss pumpkin seeds with oil and salt. Spread the seeds out on a rimmed baking sheet and roast for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crunchy.
Cool and enjoy!.
