Taco Salad
Hey Guys welcome back to my channel. In this video my Son Gregory Jordan and I make a Taco Salad for you. This is a dish that I have been making for years and years. My three grown children grew up eating it and they loved it.
Feel free to adjust this salad accordingly to your own personal taste by adding more ingredients or by not adding some of the ingredients that I have in my version. Make it your own!
If you love the Doritos tacos that you buy at your local Taco Bell restaurants you are going to love this salad. It’s a whole meal in one bowl.
Taco Salad:
2 Pounds Ground Beef
2 Envelopes Taco Seasonings
1/4 C Water
1 Head Iceberg Lettuce, in bite size pieces
1 Large Can Sliced Black Olives, drained
1 Medium Can Sweet Corn, drained
1 Large Can Black Beans, rinsed and drained
2 Tomatoes, chopped
2 Cups Shredded Medium Cheddar Cheese
1 15 Ounce Thousand Island Salad Dressing
1 9.3 Ounce Bag Nacho Doritos, crushed
In medium size saucepan brown ground beef, then drain. Add the two envelopes of taco seasoning and water. Let simmer for a few minutes then set aside to cool.
In a large salad bowl add the lettuce, tomatoes, olives, corn, beans and cheese and mix together throughly.
Next add the taco meat and mix throughly.
Next add salad dressing and mix throughly.
Lastly add 2 cups of crushed Doritos and mix together throughly. Serve immediately!
Serve with sour cream and cheese if desired. Enjoy!
