Homemade Eggnog
Decided to make some eggnog this season and had some fun with my daughter in the process. The small intro she did at the beginning was actually just a sound test. I asked her to talk so I could see if the mic would pick her up and she just came up with that on her own. I thought it was cute so I kept it in. I kept many of the little interactions between us in because that is really how she is all the time.
I like spiced rum in my eggnog so I used my favorite rum, from a distillery in Florida, Siesta Key Distillery. Their website if you are intersted in their products is here.
The recipe I used is from Tastes better from scratch. You can find it here:

Eggnog gets such a bad wrap because all the store-bought brands just can't compete with the homemade version. Most of you wouldn't pour an old fashioned or margarita from a bottle and expect it to be top notch. Is this classic holiday treat bourbon, and spiced rum spike a creamy almost custard-like base.
