How To make Green Tomato Pie Filling
4 qt Chopped green tomatoes
3 qt Peeled, chopped tart apples
1 lb Dark seedless raisins
1 lb White raisins
1/4 c Minced citron
-OR lemon or orange peel 2 c Water
2 1/2 c Brown sugar
2 1/2 c White sugar
1/2 c Vinegar (5%)
1 c Bottled lemon juice
2 tb Ground cinnamon
1 t Ground nutmeg
1 t Ground cloves
Procedure: Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook slowly stirring often, until tender and slightly thickened (about 35 to 40 minutes). Fill jars with hot mixture, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Adjust lids and process. Table 1. Recommended process time for Green Tomato Pie Filling in a boiling-water canner. Style of Pack: Hot. Jar Size: Quarts. Process Time at Altitudes of 0 - 1,000 ft: 15 min. 1,001 - 6,000 ft: 20 min.

Green Tomato Pie - Tastes Like Apple Pie!
Make an old fashioned green tomato pie like grandma used to make. Your family won't believe it isn't apple pie!
Not an Apple Pie, but a Green Tomato Pie, another weird recipe
Getting towards the end of the season and you have green tomatoes that won't ripen? Make a pie!
Green Tomato Pie
Mix together in large bowl:
3 c green tomatoes, quartered and sliced
3 T lemon Juice
½ c raisins
Mix together in separate bowl:
1 1/3 c sugar
1 ½ T minute tapioca
½ t salt
1 t cinnamon
2 unbaked pie crust rounds
2 T butter
Add sugar mixture to tomato mixture and stir to combine. Place pie crust into pie pan and pour in pie filling. Cut butter into 4 pats and place on top of filling. Add top crust and seal. Cut a few slits in top crust and place on top of a pizza pan or pie drip pan. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 15 minutes, turn heat down to 350 degrees and continue baking for another 35-45 minutes until top is golden brown.

I followed this recipe:
Ingredients:
6-8 medium green tomatoes
1 lemon zested, 2 tbs juice
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
2 tbs cornstarch
1 double pie crust, homemade or store bought
1 egg
Supplies:
Pastry brush
Directions:
Peel and thinly slice tomatoes. Add them into a pot with the zest of 1 lemon, lemon juice, salt and cinnamon. Cook over med-high heat until slightly softened. Mix together sugar and cornstarch to avoid clumping. Add gradually to tomato mixture, stirring between each addition, and cook over mellow heat until thickened. Set aside.
Line a 9 pie pan with 1 pie crust. Add filling and top with remaining pie crust. In a small bowl, beat 1 egg with a splash of water to make an egg wash. Brush your pie crust with the egg wash and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 425F for 35-40 min or until golden brown. Allow to cool and serve.
