How To make Green Tomato Pie2
-DANA JACOBI (XCHV07A) Pastry for 2 crust 9-in pie 7 md Green tomatoes
1 c Granulated sugar
1/2 c Light brown sugar
1/4 ts Cinnamon,
1/4 ts Nutmeg -- and
1/4 ts Ground ginger
4 tb All-purpose flour
2 tb Lemon juice
2 tb Sherry
4 tb Butter -- cut in pieces
Slice tomatoes as thin as possible, then quarter the slices. Mix dry ingredients and add to tomatoes, reserving 3 T. Add remaining ingredients, except butter and gently toss to distribute. Set aside for sugar to soak 1 hour. Put one crust in pie plate and sprinkle with reserved dry ingredients. Fill with tomatoes and juice. Dot with cuts of butter. Cover with top crust, seal edges and vent. Bake at 400F for 15 minutes, then at 350F for about 1 1/4 hours, until
pastry is golden. Sprinkle top with 1-2 T more sugar. Cuts better the next day when cold. Serves 6-8 Atlanta Constitution

FOR PIE DOUGH:
500g of flour (4 cups flour)
Tsp baking powder
Tsp salt
230g butter
1 and 1/2 cup of cold water
Egg for egg wash
FOR FILLING:
Irish potatoes
Carrots
Sweet peppers
Spring onions
Onions
Garlic
Dried pepper
Thyme
Season(Bouillon)
Salt
Oil
HOW TO MAKE TAMALE PIE - Chicken Tamale Pie Recipe
Hello All, I am back with my first recipe of the year. Tamale Pie! This is a delicious comfort food casserole. You can use the meat filling of your choice! You can also go vegetarian and use a saute of your favorite veggies. This recipe easily serves 6 to 9 single servings. I hope you enjoy the video!
INGREDIENTS
2 lb rotisserie chicken (shredded)
8 oz block cheddar cheese (shredded)
ENCHILADA SAUCE
1 1/2 tbls chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
3 tbls flour
1 tomato flavored chicken buillion cube
1/4 cup oil
2 cups water
CORNBREAD
2 cups yellow corn meal
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 tbls baking powder
2 tsp sea salt (use less if using table salt)
3 tbls sugar
1/4 cup oil
2 1/2 cups whole milk
**You can also just use 2 boxes of jiffy cornbread mix
**Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
**Bake Casserole for 22 - 25 minutes

MEAT AND TOMATO PIE ( Regulo Setting Mark 7 - Time 1 Hour)
1/2 lb tomatoes
3 potatoes
1 tablespoonful chopped onion
some slices of cold meat
1/4 pint stock
browned crumbs
Cut some slices of cold meat, place in a dish alternate layers of meat, sliced tomato, raw potato and chopped onion, with seasoning between ; continue the layers until the dish is full ; add a quarter pint of stock, sprinkle round crumbs on top. Cover with a piece of greased paper, bake for 1 hour with the Regulo at mark 7. Serve in the dish.
SAUSAGE AND TOMATO PIE
1 lb sausages
1 lb tomatoes
cold mashed potatoes
seasoning
Scald and skin the tomatoes and cut into halves. Drop the sausages in boiling water and simmer a quarter of an hour. Skin them and slice in half lengthways. Grease a pie-dish or casserole and place in it alternate layers of sausage and tomato. Cover thickly with mashed potatoes, and bake fifteen to twenty minutes.
(Use the fat from the sausage water for cooking other dishes.)
