Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla; let cool. Drop on plate by spoon and refrigerate.
Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies.
I make these all the time for my children. Since you do not have to bake these, low fat or fat free butter can be used. Just watch closely on the stove. You may also use skim milk. It will help reduce the fat in the cookies. Hope you enjoy!!!!

INGREDIENTS
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 ounces chopped semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 1/2 cups old fashioned oats (do not use instant!)
INSTRUCTIONS
In a 3-quart kettle, stir together butter, cocoa powder, milk, and sugar.
Place over medium-high heat and stir until the butter melts and the mixture is smooth. Continue to cook until it begins to boil, stirring constantly.
Lightly boil for one minute (no longer or it will become hard to work with).
After one minute, remove from heat and add vanilla, chopped chocolate, and peanut butter. Stir until the chocolate and peanut butter melt then add oats and stir to completely combine. If the mixture seems too soft to form cookies, let stand for a few minutes and the oats will soak up the extra moisture.
Using a cookie scoop (or your hands), form cookies and place on parchment-lined cookie sheets.
Cool in the refrigerator or at room temperature until the cookies are firm.

The Ingredients
3 cups of Quaker quick one minute oats
2 cups of extra chunky peanut butter
2 cups of sugar
1/4 cup of Hershey's cocoa powder
1/2 cup of milk
1 stick of Blue Bonnet butter
Instructions
Combine the oats and peanut butter into a large bowl.
In a medium sauce pan combine sugar, cocoa, milk and butter over high heat.
Once the mixture begins to boil time for one minute.
Add the cocoa mixture to the oats and peanut butter and stir until well combined.
Spoon onto wax paper and wait for the cookies to set up!
Special notes...
(optional) To keep the peanut butter from sticking to the sides of the bowl, you can add 2 cups of the oats and make a pit with your spoon. Add the peanut butter and sprinkle the 3rd cup of oats on top of the peanut butter.
For best results avoid preparing in high humidity. The cookies won't set up right.
