HEALTHY DONUT RECIPE - Low Fat, Vegan - EASY
Hey loves! Today we show you how to make healthy, low fat vegan donuts!!! These donuts are so delicious! We also show you how to make quick pancakes. Both of these recipes are very easy! Big thanks to our mom for inventing this recipe. :)
How to make the donuts:
INGREDIENTS
2 2/3 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup apple sauce
3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
3 tsp Energ Egg replacer + 4 tbl water (blended)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup oat milk
GLAZE
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Splash of oat milk
1 tbl chocolate powder (for chocolate glaze)
Food coloring and sprinkles (optional)
BAKING
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and baking soda 30 seconds, set aside. In a separate mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixer, blend together apple sauce, egg replacer, sugar and vanilla until smooth, about 1 minute. Working in three separate batches, beginning and ending with flour mixture, add 1/3 of the flour mixture alternating with half of the milk and mix just until combined after each addition. Spoon batter into doughnut wells, filling them about 1/4-inch from the rim. Bake in preheated oven 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into doughnut comes out clean. Transfer to a wire rack.
Glaze works well a little chilled, giving it a chance to thicken.
Make sure donuts are cooled before applying glaze, or glaze seeps into donut (but you might also like them warm and gooey!)

What could be cozier in this chilly, rainy weather than a warm, cinnamon-sugar-coated apple-sauce donut? They have a crunchy outside and a soft interior when they are fresh. Eat them right when they are ready and warm. Enjoy!

Ingredients
► Apple Donut Batter
• 70g 5 tbsp Applesauce
• 140ml 4.7 oz Milk
• 10ml 2 tsp White Vinegar
• 300g 14 oz Flour
• 10g 2 tsp Baking Powder
• 2g 1/3 tsp Salt
• 2 x Eggs
• 150g 5.25 oz Sugar
• 5ml 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
• Vegetable oil for frying
The instructions
◇Step 1 - Donut batter
1. Mix in a bowl, the flour, baking powder, and salt & set aside
2. Start by mixing milk and vinegar & set aside
3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract for about 5 minutes or until the mixture gets light and doubles in volume
4. Add the applesauce
5. Add the dry ingredients in 3 times while alternating with the milk
6. When the batter is homogeneous refrigerate for 30 minutes
◇Step 2 - Frying
1. In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon
2. Put the cinnamon sugar on a plate
3. Pour the oil into your saucepan until it gets to 2 inches from the bottom
4. Preheat the oil to 350°F
5. Use an oiled ice cream spoon of the capacity of 1tbsp to scoop your batter
6. In our case we had one too big so we used a pastry bag to fill half of the spoon - You don’t need to be this extra! Just put the equivalent of 1 tbsp of batter in the hot oil
7. Bake for about 3-4 minutes or until the donuts get golden brown
8. Don’t forget to turn them so both sides are cooked!
9. To make them perfect we used scissors to cut off the excess - Once again, this is not essential, but we are perfectionists xD
10. When these are baked to perfection put them on absorbent paper to collect the excess oil
11. Then roll them in the cinnamon sugar while they are still hot!
12. We highly recommend trying them fresh and still warm! That’s when they are at their best!

DONUT RECIPE:
1 Cup Nut Milk of Choice
1/4 Cup Organic Unsweetened Apple Sauce
1/2 Cup Coconut Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
Whisk Together
Then Add In:
1 1/2 Cups Oat Flour
2T Coconut Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
3 Scoops Golden Superfood Bliss
Whisk Together
Pour into Donut Mold Pan
Bake for 20 Min at 350
GLAZE:
1 Cup Powdered Monk Fruit Sugar
3 Scoops Golden Superfood Bliss
Stir Together Well
Very slowly add nut milk to dry ingredients until glaze consistency
Dip completely cooled donuts into glaze
Top with organic coconut shavings
