How To make Grand Marnier Pound Cake
1 c Unsalted butter; softened
1 2/3 c Sugar
2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 c Grand marnier liqueur
1 tb Grated orange zest
5 Eggs
12 oz Chocolate mini-chips
Glaze: 1/4 c Freshly squeezed orange
-juice 1/4 c Grand marnier
1/4 c Sugar
CAKE: Preheat the oven to 350. Generously butter a 10-inch (9- cup) fluted tube pan; then sprinkle it with flour, tapping out the excess. Set aside. In a large bowl with the electric mixer on high speed, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually beat in the sugar and continue beating until the mixture is light and fluffy. Turn the mixer speed to low. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat just until the flour is absorbed. Beat in the Grand Marnier and orange zest. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add mini-chips. Spread the batter in the prepared pan, smoothing the top even. Bake until the cake shrinks from the side of the pan and a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean, about 1 hour and 5 minutes (maybe less). Let stand in the pan on a wiere rack for 10 minutes, then carefully unmold the cake onto a second rack placed over a piece of wax paper or aluminum foil. GLAZE: Meanwhile, combine the orange juice, Grand Marnier, and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over moderate heat. Lower the heat and simmer until the mixture forms a light syrup, about 5 minutes. Then brush the syrup all over the warm cake. When it is cool, transfer it to a serving plate. Susan Argyelan -----

1/3 cup yogurt (100g)
2 tsp vanilla (10ml)
2 cups all purpose flour (250g)
1 cup cocoa powder (85g)
2 tsp baking powder (10g)
2 tsp baking soda (10g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
1/2 tbsp instant coffee (6g)
1 cup hot water (250ml)
CHOCOLATE FROSTING:
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (180g)
1 cup hot heavy cream (250ml)

Grand Marnier Valentine's Bundt Cake
Ingredients
1 ¼ cups flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
¾ cup sugar
1 tablespoon orange zest
2 eggs, at room temperature*
2 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons Grand Marnier
1 teaspoon vanilla
Nordic Ware Floral Heart Bouquet Bundt pan (6 cup capacity)
Position the oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well blended; set it aside.
In the large bowl of an electric mixer, cream butter, sugar, and orange zest until light and fluffy, about 8 minutes. Add eggs, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beating until the batter is thick. Add Grand Marnier and vanilla, mixing well.
Spray the 6-cup heart-shaped bundt pan well with nonstick baking spray-with-flour. Spoon the batter into the pan, tap it several times on the bottom to settle the batter into the pan, and bake 30-33 minutes or until a tester inserted into the cake comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and set it on a wire rack to cool. When the cake is almost cool, run a sharp knife along the center of the pan to loosen the cake, tap it several times on the bottom, place a wire rack over the top of the cake, and invert it to display the cake’s floral pattern.
Brush gently with Grand Marnier syrup, allowing it to soak into the cake and drip down the sides. Set the cake aside until the syrup has set. Transfer the cake to a platter and garnish as desired.
Grand Marnier Syrup
In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup sifted confectioners’ sugar and ¼ cup Grand Marnier until the syrup is smooth.
*Chef’s Note: For a moister cake, use 3 large eggs instead of 2
