Ingredients:
- 350g Beef, sliced thinly
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 3 tbsps Cornstarch, or enough to coat
Sauce:
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Ginger, grated
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 1 Red Chillli, sliced
- 1 Capsicum, sliced
- 2 tbsps Sambal Oelek or Sriracha (adjust to spice tolerance)
- 2 tbsps Tomato Ketchup
- 2 tbsps Dark Soy Sauce or Kicap Manis
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- Cooking Oil

Prepare Crispy Beef Chilli:
-Beef undercut 750g
-Namak (Salt) ½ tsp or to taste
-Kali mirch powder (Black pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Safed mirch powder (White pepper powder) ¼ tsp
-Adrak lehsan paste (Ginger garlic paste) 1 tsp
-Cornflour 4-5 tbs
-Soy sauce 1 & ½ tbs
-Anda (Egg) 1
-Cooking oil 3-4 tbs
-Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
-Lehsan (Garlic) chopped ½ tbs
-Pyaz (Onion) julienne cut 1 large
-Shimla mirch (Bell pepper) julienne cut 1 medium
-Brown sugar powdered 1 tbs
-Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
-Lal mirch (Red chilli) crushed 1 tsp
-Soy sauce 2 tbs
-Sweet chilli sauce 2-3 tbs
-Sirka (Vinegar) 2 tbs
-Dark soy sauce 1 tsp (optional)
-Tomato ketchup 2 tbs
-Water 3-4 tbs
-Hari mirch (Green chilli) sliced 2
-Lal mirch (Red chillies) sliced to taste
-Til ka tel (Sesame oil) 1 tbs
Prepare Egg & Vegetable Fied Rice:
-Cooking oil 2-3 tbs
-Anday (Eggs) 2
-Gajar (Carrots) julienne ½ Cup
-Shimla mirch (Capsicum) julienne ½ Cup
-Corn kernels boiled ½ Cup
-Band gobhi (Cabbage) shredded 1 Cup
-Chawal (Rice) Basmati 350g (boiled with salt until 3/4th done)
-Kali mirch (Black pepper) crushed ½ tsp
-Namak (Salt) ¼ tsp or to taste
-Safed mirch powder (White pepper powder) ½ tsp
-Lehsan powder (Garlic powder) 1 tsp
-Sirka (Vinegar) 1-2 tbs
-Chilli sauce 1-2 tbs (optional)
-Soy sauce 1 & ½ tbs
-Hara pyaz (Spring onion) leaves ¼ Cup
Directions:
Prepare Crispy Beef Chilli:
-Cut beef undercut into thin strips.
-In a bowl,add beef strips,salt,black pepper powder,white pepper powder,ginger garlic paste, cornflour,soy sauce,egg and mix well.
-In a frying pan,heat cooking oil and fry beef strips until golden brown & set aside.
-In a wok,add cooking oil,garlic and mix well.
-Add onion,capsicum and mix well.
-Add brown sugar,salt,red chilli crushed,soy sauce,sweet chilli sauce,vinegar,dark soy sauce,tomato ketchup,water,mix well & bring it to boil.
-Now add crispy beef strips,mix well & cook for a minute.
-Add green chillies,red chillies,sesame oil & mix well.
-Garnish with red & green chilli & serve!
Prepare Egg & Vegetable Fied Rice:
-In a wok,add cooking oil,eggs,mix well and cook until crumbled.
-Add carrot,capsicum,corn kernels,cabbage and stir fry for a minute.
-Add rice,black pepper crushed,salt,white pepper powder,garlic powder,vinegar,chilli sauce,soy sauce and mix well.
-Add green onion leaves & mix well.
-Garnish with green onion leaves.
-Serve egg & vegetable fried rice with crispy beef chilli & serve!

-Frying pan mein cooking oil garam karein aur beef strips ko golden brown ho janay tak fry ker lein & side per rakh dein.
-Karahi mein cooking oil aur lehsan dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Pyaz aur shimla mirch dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Brown sugar,namak,lal mirch crushed,soy sauce,sweet chilli sauce,sirka,dark soy sauce,tomato ketchup aur pani dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur ubal anay dein.

-Hari mirch,lal mirch aur til ka tel dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Lal & hari mirch sa garnish ker ka serve karein!

-Karahi mein cooking oil aur anday dal dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur crumbled ho janay tak paka lein.
-Gajar,shimla mirch,corn kernels aur band gobhi dal dein aur ek minute kliya stir fry ker lein.
-Chawal,kali mirch crushed,namak,safed mirch powder,lehsan powder,sirka,chili sauce aur soy sauce dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein.
-Hara pyaz leaves dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.
-Hara pyaz leaves sa garnish ker lein.
-Egg & vegetable fried rice ko crispy beef chilli ka saath serve karein!
How to make Crispy Beef | Restaurant style Hakka Chinese | Kravings
Hakka Chinese is always a fave in our household. One of the items my sons love to order is Crispy Beef however, one order is never enough. After developing this recipe for a while this comes pretty close.
Beef is sliced very thin, marinated and then fried twice to get it nice and crispy. It's then tossed in a sweet, salty & sticky sauce.
Here are the ingredients and steps to make this recipe!
Crispy Beef
1 kg - 2.2 lbs Sirloin
2 tbsps light Soya sauce
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsps Shaoxing cooking wine or Fujian cooking wine
1 tsp Baking soda
1 - 2 cups Corn starch
Sauce
1/4 cup Honey
1/4 cup light Soya sauce
1/4 cup Shaoxing cooking wine or Fujian cooking wine
1/4 cup Ketchup
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp of Chinkiang Black Vinegar
For frying
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
2 tbsps sliced Spring Onions
2 tbsps minced Garlic
1/4 cup julienne of Ginger
1 tbsp sliced green Chillies
Slice the Beef thinly. Freezing the meat for an hour will help the meat firm up and makes it easy to slice
Marinate with the soya sauce, sesame oil, cooking wine and baking soda and leave aside for 10 mins
In the meantime combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl
Dip each piece in cornstarch, shake off the excess and deep fry in batches and keep aside
Once everything is fried, fry the pieces again for the second time
In a wok add the sesame oil, the spring onions, garlic, julienne of ginger and the green chillies
Saute this for a minute and add the sauce ingredients and allow this to thicken a bit
Add the beef and toss to coat and serve

How to Make Crispy Chilli Beef 2021 - The Crispiest Tastiest Chilli Beef
Tender strips of beef in a light, crispy, crunchy coating, smothered in just the right amount of sticky-sweet, tangy, spicy sauce.
Few things in life are better than this, which is why crispy chilli beef is one of the most popular Chinese restaurant, takeaway/takeout dishes in the world.
It’s one of those dishes that isn’t that easy to figure out how to make right, but if you follow my tutorial, it’s actually quite simple.
And if you make this for your friends and family you are guaranteed to impress them.
There are quite a few ingredients and processes to follow and I’ve shown you how I make a proper base for the sweet chilli sauce for that extra flavour rather than just the ketchup method (although it still involves a little ketchup lol!). It’s definitely worth it though.

For 3-4 people you will need
350g of beef - rump/sirloin/medallion steak
Velveting
1/2 tsp of sodium bicarbonate
1 tsp of cornflour/cornstarch
Marinade
1 tbsp light soy
1tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp sugar
The crispy coating
1 large free range egg
200g of cornflour/cornstarch
3 generous pinches of salt
1 pinch of pepper
The sweet chilli sauce
1/2 a pepper
A small chunk of fresh ginger
1/2 a white onion
1 lemon
2 tomatoes
200 ml of plain water
5 tbsp of sugar
8 tbsp of malt vinegar
2 tbsp of ketchup
A pinch of salt
Finishing
1/4 of a white onion
1 -2 fresh hot chilli peppers to taste
1 small chunk of ginger (think dice sized)
3 garlic cloves
3 tbsp of brown sauce/A1 steak sauce
1 tbsp honey
A pinch of salt
1 tbsp of cornflour/cornstarch in water (slurry) for thickening
You will also need approx 1 litre of cooking oil for shallow and deep frying
A big pan for deep frying
A wok/ high sided frying pan/saute pan or similar for stir frying
A frying basket or ’spider’ would also be useful
